Sheffield Collection Help

Hey all, just earned the 500 point ballin pack for the current program. Best bout of luck had me pull DeGrom!! I picked up Arenado first week of the game, so currently have the stubs to finish the collection for Sheffield (need Scherzer + Bellinger). I’m not actively chasing mantle and figure I won’t get him, but wanted some feedback from people with Sheffield.
Do you think it’s worth getting Sheffield or should I hold and possibly chase the Honus Wagner-type collection (if it actually comes)?
The other thought is waiting until a quality stub sale and selling off the high diamonds.

You’ll either take with him or you’ll suck. There is no in between

Sheffield is insane. His defense is not an issue either. Does he make spectacular plays? No. But he makes everything you'd expect him to and shocks you occasionally as well. His bat is just too good to not use.
Aside from that, finishing the Dodgers and NL west gets you Piazza and Gwynn respectively, and that isn't the worst thing you could do.
I would complete it if I were you.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I’ve only used him once or twice in showdown, so no real sample size, but he’s got the sense of being a forever OF option.
I’ll sleep on it through the week and keep an eye on the missing pieces costs; see if I can get a little lower cost on them by the weekend.

Get Mantle. It didnt take me too long. Just be smart with your stubs and DONT BUY ANYONE until you get Mantle. Thats what I did and I completed it last night. Plus you will get 40k and more stubs back when you lock him and others in at the end. What I did was save up my stubs to about 200k then I just flipped and made about 40-50k a day. Also I have completed almost every moment and player programs and conquest, Those will help with XP and stubs. It all adds up. You need to get him though b/c you will have Billy Wagner who no one can hit, Tony Gwynn who is amazing, Craig Biggio, Sheffield, Mantle, Trout do I need to continue? Haha. You will be very happy when you finally complete it. Just be patient and save stubs.

Coop, I’ve definitely been earning the stubs through programs and TA. Haven’t sold any of the bosses I’ve collected yet so have a few extra stubs I could pick up that way. My problem this year is the lack of gold to diamond upgrades. I crushed last year when Greinke went diamond and never had to flip again after that. This year is a whole different approach and I just don’t have the interest in flipping per se.
That’s what leads me to believe I won’t really reach Mantle.
