I gave up on this year a month ago, and I'm definitely not sure about next year. If I don't, seeing SDS marketing "The Show" prepaid MasterCards was the last straw. Through all the gameplay issues, and what seems to be declining quality year over year, we now know they've been working to develop this product. Personally, I feel it's in poor taste, but that's just my personal sentiments on it. It does undeniably demonstrate that through these issues maximizing microtransactions and trying to milk customers to buy packs is very much a priority. Hard for me to play this year, see that, and feel like SDS isn't turning into a full on cash grab. Taking the slippery slope, hard to believe in game DDA-type mechanics wouldn't be part and parcel of this line of strategy.

The thing is that this is actually the only fantasy sports game where you can be loaded with stubs and players without having to spend a dime. I mean I hear you about the quality decline, but to say this franchise milks its customers is just not true. Especially if you compare it to EA and 2K, good luck making millions there through gameplay or on the market.

You're 100% right, that's about the one thing keeping me around.
But I think the point he's trying to make is that we hear about packs, stub sales, new cards, flash sales, 2-3 times a week.
Patches and gameplay, we barely get a word about 1-2 times a month. And we only get a minimal response of "we hear you" followed by a patch that doesn't read as if they really hear us.

It's driving a lot of guys away.

I agree with you but the way things are going, dont be at all shocked when SDS does go the way of EA in how they do things.

People threaten to leave every year. People keep saying X studio is driving its customers away. X studio is going to fail if they keep doing this. You know what ? All the sports games still around and are still profitable.

So go ahead and whine, stomp your feet and point. It changes nothing because you do not matter

That's the problem with all these studios. We don't matter. Our wallets do.

You're 100% right though, they'll stay around and profit, I know I'll even still put in my minimal buy in.
Doesn't hurt to hope for change though. And overall SDS is better than most other companies, I'll give them that. It's been a rough few months for em though.

Hope and whine/cry are two different things. I have no problem with people hoping or wishing. It’s the whiners and criers that are annoying. Thinking they matter and say they done with the game. Yet next year they will be back playing and whining again. Empty threats

It’s because companies are lazy, and scared to innovate if what they do makes money. Look at the inning programs, SDS doesn’t have to do [censored] for a month cuz they know people will see the shiny new bosses and just work for that. But then what do you do after the 3rd inning boss? I know I hate the online gameplay this year because it’s toxic and the worst I think it’s ever been, so I just grind showdown but that’s so [censored] boring. They’ve neglected moments this year, the amount of cards in the game is laughable, the future stars/prospects idea is really cool but was butchered. The fact that hitting, pitching AND baserunning is all [censored] up makes it not feel like a simulation baseball game. But a backwards, janky, broken, “game” that just tries to make you play for as long as it can and make you spend money to help you along or get these new shiny cards everyone wants. I try to play MLB the show for fun but I get so pissed off because of the gameplay and lack of quality of the games have been since mlb 16. No game has come close to how fun MLB 16 was and the way video games are made I don’t thrill it will
