If you were to pull Trout.

Would you sell or use in collection for Mantle? In my opinion I have faced Mantle plenty of times and he isn’t worth all the time and stubs to collect him especially with new players coming out all the time. The players that absolutely shred against me off the top of my head are Didi, Lofton, Chipper, and Biggio.
-
Sell
Not worth it at this point with more 99s on the way bank the stubs and come back to Trout when he falls below 150k
-
Mantle will be the best card in the game all year. I locked my first Trout in, sold the rest. It's worth keeping, promise.
-
What’s your goal for the game? I completed the LS collections last week and gives me a feeling of “beating the game”! Considering the reward for playing stubs what else are you planning to do with them if not the collections. Completing the collections rewards you with a lot of stubs and Xp, so its not like you won’t be able to still get the players you want not involved in collections. So keep him for sure!
-
I have been going through this as I close in on finishing off the tops guys in LS. Of course he isnt worth it, and neither is Mantle, Biggio and Sheffield. There are so many other cards you could get for the prices of the top LS diamonds. And so many other cards to come that you could use those stubs on and have a better team. But the honest truth is. There is just something about completing the LS collection and getting those guys that is impossible to not do if you have the chance. All these FB's and legends, and this year FS's and Prospects have tons of cards you can get for those prices and build a much better team, but there is something about the LS collection every year that makes it have to be done.

I agree with this 100%. But, I would probably sell. I want to do the collections, but I don’t mind “beating the game” in October when it’s a lot cheaper (hopefully).

Keep him
-
I can't see anyone being better than Mantle. He's almost maxed speed, fielding and hitting... and switch hits.
Mays, Ruth, Honus, Ted, Griffey, Pujols... None of those guys check every box.
Even a 99 Chipper can't run or field -

I would sell him but only because i already got Trout. I have no real need for Mantle at this point though as i love my outfield of Kemp/Trout and Jackson (i love his bat)
When i get Mantle i'm moving Jackson to my bench.
-
He's the last card I need, so I would keep him. He gives access to Wagner (the best lefty reliever in the game until last night), Biggio and Mantle, +35000 stubs and loads of xp.
-
If I can collect all the AL West and get Wagner I would keep it. If I can’t I will sell him and wait for the elite ducks in the pond to drop a bit to get Ernie/Chapman
-
I kept him and am also not trying to complete the collections. He leads my team in HRs and is one of my best hitters, that's why I won't sell him.
-
I sold the first 3, finally decided it was time and locked in the 4th one. Also Mickey is 100% worth the time and stubs and still the #1 player in the game and will he for a while longer.

No real baseball got me itching to get it done quick this year! Smarter to wait until cheap, but Mantle is the man!

I pulled Trout out of the 90+ prestige pack at 45 today. Felt great. My luck has been terrible all year. After tax it was like 256k.
-
Oh and Mantle is great. I have him at Prestige. He’s worth the stubs. Plus he’s Mickey ****ing Mantle man.

It's 39/40k . 1k each for collecting to prestige( non sellable so why not) and 2500 for Mantle's prestige mission, done just by collecting, not sure biggio but think it's also 2500.
-
I would sell him. I kinda regret doing the collections since I don’t think I’m gonna get Mickey mantle
-
Im selling and turning what I made into 5 times that amount and getting Mantle. That's my endgame. It's all about choices, right, wrong or indifferent.
-
Yup. Sell ASAP. Sold mine when he inflated during the stub sale. took @Ikasnu's advice and invested about 260k of it. For stage 3 TAs.
