I caved

So about halfway through the prestige stats with Belli I finally caved and tried the hr and quit name method. I know, I know...I was disappointed in myself too. But I want to finish it before the lefty event and I’m not that good. However not many people even oblige and that’s fair, I just play the rest of the game out.
Just now someone struck my Belli out first batter of the game. He must’ve thought I’d quit but okay game on. I pitch to his Belli...hit, but I strand him. Next time up he IBB walks my Belli. 2 run homer with Cargo and now I got a 2-0 lead. Next time up...IBB walk again. Smh.
With one on and one out in the bottom of the 3rd up comes his Belli. The IBB crossed my mind but then I’d probably give up a walkoff to Reggie...or whoever was next I don’t remember. I bring in the 1 lefty on my team to match toxicity. He tries to hit and run and strikes out..I threw behind the runner and as he turns around...tag! Game! Best believed I sent a “turned a free win into a fat L” message after.
Man that felt good!

No need for that message after the game. No one cares about helping other player's stats. I would like to think most of us play to enjoy baseball and could care less about +3 attributes...

I get it. Like I said if they don’t help then cool let’s just play. But If we are then playing just to enjoy baseball....why IBB my Belli twice!? He wasn’t setting up a force and I pitched to yours every time. Did my team name offend you?? That’s why I sent the message.

Maybe he recently got burned by somebody who abused the name method... Gave up a HR on a meatball the first pitch, and then did not quit.
Please just don't stoop to the name change method, and change it back to a real team name. At the end of the day you will probably feel better about earning the stats.

Yeah agree. The name thing is annoying a people don’t even message you they just expect you to oblige. I’m not the best player but I play to win and be competitive. I only have time for a few games when I get on. So I’m not looking to waste that time on stat boosting for other players.

Im totally ok with a 3-inning game of fastballs to help each other out. I'm sure it felt good after the IBB!

Dude I completely understand that a lot of people are against it. But a team name justifies IBB that player over and over? Just to be a [censored]? I would get it if I threw a fit after that first at bat or something but I just said okay and played. Didn’t message, didn’t pause, didn’t even use a lefty until after the 2 IBB’s. I 100% get it if people want you to earn it. Tell me that though or even show me by striking me out like he did that first at bat.
I feel like if you’re so against the hit and quit method, you should be against IBB’s, and dashboarding HRs as well. Or how else’s am I supposed to get it done?

I don't know, based on this story I think its hilarious and agree with your actions. I would feel the same way. Strikeout my Belli or walk him on a 3-2 count, but don't IBB him. That's just rude.

My messages come through on my phone and they’re turned off on my PlayStation. People send messages then start crying when I don’t respond. I’m here to play a game, not serve up meatballs. It’s pretty classless to beg somebody for something, then turn around and talk trash to them because they didn’t give you what, for some delusional reason, you seem to feel you’re entitled to. People like you help foster the toxic environment that so many people complain about here.

I don’t think I’m entitled. I don’t know how else I can change that perspective. I’ve tried telling the truth which is if you help me I really appreciate it, if not that’s okay too let’s just play the game. However I don’t think I’m alone when I say..it does bother me when people purposely IBB prestigable players just for fun. Maybe that’s where the perspective comes from. Agree to disagree. I respect your opinion though.
