Random Starting Pitchers NEEDS TO GO!!!!!!!
-
I am so freaking tired of the random starting pitching because it's usually always the same spot being selected. I am so freaking tired of seeing Kershaw vs. Kershaw, Ryan Vs. Ryan, etc. Also I have 5 SP's on my team that I would like to be using consistently, rather then when I'm lucky enough that randomly it has been chosen.
The rotation order should be set & fixed no matter what. This way all 5 Sp's will pitch every 5 games no matter what. It will as well make the game so much interesting if someone's #1 starter is going up against someone's #5 starter.
Starters also will lose Stamina/Energy the same way like bullpen does. So for any reason if your Kershaw, Ryan, Seaver, Cole, etc has not fully recovered in 4 games to be ready for that 5th game, then it forces you to either insert an other fresh starter into that slot or even choose to still pitch not being fully recovered.
To me that makes it more realistic & more strategic.
Tell me what you guys think.

If they implement it the same way they do relievers it would work. There really isn't a way to exploit relievers. Even if you sell a gassed reliever and bought him back, he is still gassed until you keep him in your bullpen and let him recharge.
I haven't run into Kershaw/Kershaw Ryan/Ryan matches in months though. Mostly because I don't have them in my rotation lol. -
After a pitcher gets a start take him outa your rotation and put another in. I basicly run a 10 pitcher rotation. But yes I do agree we need a new system for starting pitchers in DD.
-
My rotation usually goes seaver 2 straight, Cole then kershaw back to seaver and wainwright gets in a game or Paxton. It is frustrating because I believe the more you see a pitcher the easier they are to hit
-
Yeah it does need to be revamped. Ryan had a 28-3 record for me, meanwhile my 4th and 5th guys barely start. It's almost like why do we even set a rotation, if it's Not a true rotation
-
agree. shouldn't be that hard. 1st starter goes, then 2,3,4,5. Doesn't matter if you switch them out. Who ever you replace them with will still have low stamina.
-
I haven't played quick play online in a few years, but I used to often. That system built the starting pitcher you choose into the matchmaking, and then they'd have stamina where you couldn't choose them until their energy recharged. I'd say implement something like this, just don't let me exploit it by just swapping out burned pitchers for new ones all the time. If a guy starts, he has to spend 4 games in your rotation while you play games without him or his energy won't recharge. That'd fix it, and SDS must know how to do it since they've done it before in the other mode.

As much as I dislike randomized I think it's the best option. I know I would be pretty salty playing a WS play-in game if my opponent got his ace and I got my 5 starter.
-
Randomized is the best option cause they don't want people just using 1 or 2 pitchers through the entire life cycle of a game.

Why? This is how it works out in the real world a lot of the times. Just get a better rotation.

Agree. They took it out because ppl were quitting games because they didn't like the match up or they had an all lefty lineup and up pops a left handed pitcher. Completely asinine. I said it. Gonna placate the whiners with that but never fix the outfielders complete lack of urgency.
Just one example ️
Makes sense to me️ -
