I pulled trout Monday of last week - If I sold trout I would be able to complete the NL - if I keep him I could lock him in and have the ASTROS and Yankees left in the AL... since there wasn’t a stub sale I think selling him now could be the play but I am having a hard time pulling that trigger... and just an FYI I am 0-12 with trout and didn’t do well with him in years past.

What do you think your chances are of pulling Trout again or get enough stubs to buy him? I would weigh that before making a decision.

That’s what has been weighing on me, I know he’s the gatekeeper to mantle... just so many options, the Gwynn card, Rockies AO, Belli...

Ottovino is buns. Gwynn is solid. Belly doesnt make most lineups now, def not in a couple weeks. Sheffield is hit or miss. Some people love him, some people cant hit with him. I suggest going into batting practice on legend and seeing how you like his swing. he has a slower swing that takes some getting used to. He does hit the ball hard though. it sounds like you don't want to keep trout so you can always sell him and just not complete the collections. If you are not going to get mantle I don't think I would lock in all the stubs just for Sheffield. Keep in mind I have mantle. I like biggio more than Sheffield but other people disagree. It's all about the swing. Biggio is a 4 tool player. Sheffield is a one or two tool player. All three are in my lineup though. Mantle is phenomenal so if you are going for him eventually I think selling trout now and taking that 10% tax it's not the best move. You also are not in a rush to lock him in. The Angels collection reward is buns also.

Ya, if you plan on doing the collections for mantle I would keep him, if your not planning on going for mantle, I would sell and fill out your team with the market imo.

Sheffield is better than Biggio. If you can get Sheffield now, you should.

If you're goal is to get Mantle you're going to need the same amount of stubs regardless of how you do it. Why not get a great player now to use along the way?

If you plan on flipping for Mantle, don’t lock anything in right now. Keep your stubs so you can flip effectively.

The more stubs you have the more you can flip. Wait until you’re ready to lock everything in and do it all at once
