Like from the minors in M2O?
I don't think so, but I haven't done one with Boston (or one as the NY Mets with Syndergaard or the NY Yankees with Severino) so I can't be sure.
Obviously Sale, Syndergaard, and Severino are in the minors in the game to reflect that (even if the season were going on) they won't be healthy enough to play until 2021, at the earliest. I don't think they accumulate any stats in Triple-A either, and that is really strange. So, I guess the game just kinda treats them as if they're not even there?
I've done two M2O runs with the White Sox and both times I put Chris Sale on my list of players to target in a trade and I never got an offer for him, so I don't even think you can trade for him which was an absolute bummer for me.

In MtO, not having control over your own call-ups is annoying as hell.
I'd like to be able to make roster moves as I want. Maybe allow us to make 1 call up a month maybe?

You cant get sale back. I did the mto with the sox and he was neither traded for or called up. At least he wasnt when I did it
