No money spent LS collection
-
don't waste money on packs, i finished the collection a long time ago with no money spent. you get enough free packs from the games by doing TA, events, etc etc. I've pulled a few diamonds from packs, and gotten several free diamonds from 12 win entries in events. Sell all unnecessary cards (example if you chose victorino or roberts). Sell unnecessary golds (example if you have hershiser, boggs, etc). Sell all duplicate cards, including bronzes. Sell unnecessary equipment items if you're not ruling a CAP. All this stuff eventually adds up.
-
Also sell prospect cards, they are virtually useless at this point
-
Also don't lock in anyone who doesn't need locking in (example is future stars Bohm). Haven't checked his price today but last time i did the card was going for close to 50k. It's a nice card but easily replaceable with a free future star from TA.

I'm close myself... Need Astros, As and Indian elites (except Verlander). Some pack luck (3 Bellingers but didn't get near what they are worth now).
I'm not very good either and barely play online with a single win. Like everyone is saying... Sell everything that's optional, don't buy packs. I finished my 300 3rd inning ps earlier than many and got over 60k for Chipper.
If I play again next year I'm knocking out the high diamonds immediately. I'd have it done ages ago if I had done that.
-
thats what i did, went for the most expensive cards first, Trout was the first AL diamond that i bought

I'm about 100k short in the AL but unless you go flawless or win the world series, mantle will be a xmas gift. With the 90+ going for so much and no quick sell, plus very poor pack luck I'm not seeing and end anytime soon.

I just completed AL yesterday. Was excited to add Wagner and biggie to my bull pen.
Biggie — 0-4 with 4 Ks first game
Wagner in relief gave up a 3 run bomb that cost me the game.1 game obviously and my opponent spammed inside sinkers like it was his daddy. I was away time so the lag was just enough that I was “late” even though I knew they were coming. 1 AB he threw 9 in a row.

Biggio* but I do love some biggie
And team*.... sorry it’s early

Just completed it yesterday. Granted I bought Trout back when he was in the 200s and completed most of the National league early as well. It’s a tab bit harder now but you just have to sell EVERYTHING. I sold all 3 innings programs rewards, all event rewards and any duplicate cards I have for collections. That coupled along with a bunch of Showdown. Just honestly have to grind (and get a bit lucky) but with all the content that SDS has put out there’s so much stubs out there that all you need to do is play to get. Don’t even have to play online (aside from events)

With prices this high, how is anyone managing to complete the Mantle collection?

200K away...

Only Arenado,DeGrom and Mad Max away with 210K

There are so many stubs in this year's game. This is the first time I think it's possible. I need Belli, DeGrom (regretting selling him for 60k a while back), Mad Max to complete. It's been fun doing it.

It’s gonna be difficult to get Mantle before reaching prestige with NMS unless you flip a lot. I had good pack luck prob 350k worth of diamond pulls, flipped moderately and still reached prestige 6 cards short all NL cards
So I’m level 50 diamond and just completed collections. My pack luck has been okay but not crazy (Arenado, Lindor (twice), Judge and Alonso). I think what I attribute it most to is just showdowns and selling all event/program rewards. Have to be disciplined enough to not buy packs though. That’s prob the hardest part

I have 5 teams left (Yankees, Angles, A's, Red Sox and Astros). I think it was slightly easier last year for some reason, though I just might have had good pack luck and not remembered. I think the big thing separating this year from last year is the price that the innings bosses sold at vs. this year. I want to say i remember getting like 80k for some guys where as you're lucky to get 40k this year.

For me it was lots of luck with packs and several, and I mean SEVERAL ongoing expensive investments. I'm talking 40k-100k on a single card that later would be 2x-3x its value when I purchased it.
