Essentially, anything other than a perfect flyball from an 80+power hitter is a complete dice roll without any regard for the “3-dot” pci changes made this year. As an example in the last few showdown moments I’ve played, I had FoTF Conforto vs a lefty twice hit [censored] right on his top dot for good/okay 91 and 92. I also had Pete Alonso hit a slider a half ball above dead center for a good/okay 93 and a Ryan Braun (vs a common lefty) get a dead center good/good for only 94.

It’s time for them to scrap the whole good/okay feedback for anything wholly within the feedback and make them good/good with higher exit velos, since the programmers are completely clueless.

I think hitting in showdown is even more extreme with the dice rolls on pitches you get the pci on. It seems the best results often come on less good swings with better cards. Go figure.

I find myself coming back to it and it lets me down every day. I’ve come to the conclusion that unless you score 5-8 runs before the rng starts tearing its ugly head you will lose or have to fight off your opponent to win.

People need to keep talking about this. It’s the only way anything will change. So thank you and I hope others continue talking about this to bring about change

Pitcher confidence plagues this game. Until pitching is completely revamped, this is the way it is going to be.

Showdown and/or Moments are not good modes to accurately judge hitting quality. SDS tinkers with the Sliders in these modes so much that basically you end up with a nerf bat to use for your reward quest.
