So I'm at at least 10 pts for all 300 TAs.

I have already got to 50 and collected the FOTF card for 5/30 teams.

Right now, where I stand, I have a few options:

1: Buy Silvers and do the Exchanges 4x, per team, for around 16-18K and get to 50 pts; then try to finish out to 70 with Showdown runs.

2: Attempt to get two successful Showdown runs, per team, to get to 50pts then finish them off with two Exchanges (8-9K)

    1. Get as many Showdown runs, per team, until I max out at 70 and use the remaining vouchers towards Team Affinity packs.

Team Affinities should be for free, you shouldn't use your stubs on exchanges. You can always do missions and March to October if you don't want to do showdown every time.

I’ve done mostly exchanges and honestly it costs nothing, with the stubs back and packs, sometimes you can make a profit even, if you can actually pull a diamond from a ballin is gold pack

For most teams ill do a couple showdowns then grind innings on the US Conquest map. Teams who's players i don't feel like playing with but I want the FotF/FS card I just do exchanges. You can do them pretty cheap if you just stick with bronze 72-74 cards.

@olivegarden2 I know you can do MTO. But I stayed away from that mode until they patched that 'Authenticated' bug.

Now I'm so far behind that for me to do an MTO run, for each team, its going to take at least a month. Add on what I need to get the FS card and its a little longer.

I'm either going to spend hours grinding or spend stubs. At least I can earn more stubs.

I think what I'm going to try is Showdown. If I can get at least 2 successful runs, I'll get the 40 pts plus make back my stubs/profit. If I fail a showdown, as long as I made my Entry Fee back, I'll try again.

@formallyforearms how many Buy Orders does it take to do Commons?
My method, I'm putting in about 54 buys orders per team. That gets me 4 10pt exchanges.

If you are good enough to beat Showdown nearly every time, it's a no brainer. Heck if you can beat Showdown half the time I still see it being the fastest. But if you stink at hitting like me and beat those divisional SDs less than 25 percent of the time, then its MTO or innings. I do exchanges sometimes and collection for the cheaper teams.

It's a lot of commons, but you can get 63s for 7 per. I throw in a ton of buy orders and go to bed, then replace the buy orders the next day. It takes longer, but it will save you 2+K per 10 point exchange. It adds up when doing multiple TAs

Do you know about how many 63s complete an exchange? I’m not at my console right now and want to try this method out and buy some while taking a break from playing.

If your gonna do exchanges make sure you stick w stage 1 and avoid the central divisions bc they are the easiest. Do East and west and don’t do exchanges on stage 2 bc stage 2 is much easier then 1. You’ll save hrs off of game time bc you will have less attempts to fail at stage 1

They are 191 points, so 262 of them if doing only 63s. I usually mix them in with bronzes as they are cheaper/point than silvers. But if you would only do those at 7 stubs per, it would be 1834 stubs for 10 TA points.

If I'm patient, I can get enough buy orders filled for around 5K per 10pts.

Plus at 20pts, you get 2K back.

I’ve been doing 2 Showdowns, 2 exchanges, so that’s 60 TA points. And then I do the 250 inning for that team for 5 points then the stat mission for the last 5 points.(I.e.) hit 7 Homeruns with Twins Catchers, Left-fielders, and Centerfielders. Or i say screw it and do 3 Showdowns for 60 points. Then just do the innings/stat mission, Or just do 1 exchange. It’s been working great for me. Finished 14 Teams so far

Interesting stuff guys, as I too am trying to figure out how I'm going to get all these up to past 80 (FYI, as I'm sure you've seen, the moments and things don't unlock for Stage 2 until 80 for some reason). I've got 3 teams at 100 percent, another at 95 and that's it for unlocking through FOTF. I'm getting close on Yankees.

I was having issues with Stage 1 showdown, so I was doing MTO. FWIW, it seems like MTO runs are taking longer these days (and worth fewer affinity points). I was playing Yankees today and I haven't lost a single "moment" yet on my MTO run, but it's taking quite a while. I'm still not to the All-Star break yet. I haven't accepted any trades (which sometimes take longer because you have to play with that player for a game and I have baserunning and fielding shutout in player-lock moments). But I played for a few hours today and still didn't make the All-Star break yet, my second time playing this current run.

Good tip from @bonion. Maybe it's best to do the Stage 1 Central showdowns, since they are a bit easier and save the exchanges for the other divisions. I might try that approach, though I'm not a big fan of exchanges in general.

I've been doing mostly exchanges because I can't beat showdowns.

Yeah, I've been chasing the Mantle collection and I'm only 3 cards away (Scherzer, deGrom and Arenado). So, that's where my stubs have been going. But I guess I need to focus on some exchanges once I get finished. I suppose it's all in what do you want the most because I can't do it all. I'm just not a fan of exchanges because it's essentially a sunk cost. At least with collections you can still use those players.

I'm not too worried about the collection. Unless I magically pull Trout and at least one or two of the other high diamo nds I'm not even attempting it.

With TA I only put effort into teams with a player I want now or a player That may show up later.

@maskedgrappler that is fine to chase a player or two you want but IMO you should try to balance out TA approach. Stage 3 will no doubt have appealing cards from stage 1 & 2 weaklings. I’d hate to start from scratch chasing one of them to 170 (come stage 3) points but that’s all up to you and how much you grind TA points.
