I was also thinking they could go back and look st mlb’s past players of the month and make some sweet fresh content. But the flashbacks are cool too. I never got onuse didi now he’s a fixture on my team. Same w

I think the issue here is that they may have plans for other legends and flashbacks so adding another card for them isn't viable also the likely hood is they had no real plan or use for these cards so considering the situation this was the easiest thing to do as a substitute when it was known the season would be delayed.
Also as an additional point to POTM in game they are selected based on players performing about their expectations. That is why you dont see guys like Trout and Arendo getting POTM even with big months their is a level of expectations for them to do that where as guys like the 99 Eric Thames POTM in the prestige path no one expected him to do what he did that month

Makes sense. I am just looking right now and don’t have much initiative to do the May path yet.

Well, Dietrich being an 88 tells us they’re willing to shift the ratings around for these types of cards.
