Boring answer but I’d use that 100k to flip cards until that’s up to enough to finish the NL plus another 200k or so. Then I’d buy the NL cards and start flipping again for the AL.
Edit - at current prices you’re looking at ~1.4 million to buy the remaining diamonds. About 660k for just the NL.
-
Also enjoy Stargell that’s a fun card.
-
Wait for a card like Machado to come to events again. At beginning of events You could buy now for less then 400 stubs. Sell now is almost 800 stubs. 1 card woulda almost doubled its value
That card made me lots and lots of stubs
-
I knocked out the Angels first but I’m of course an Angels fan plus Trout was way cheaper early. Then knocked out the easier ones to earn stubs. What I have left is still painful though. Mets Yankees Astros and Rockies. Degrom, Cole, Verlander and Arenado are all still needs.
-
I just finished the collections yesterday only because I had trout, cole and scherzer. Put buy orders in and just wait for them to go thru. It took a lot of stubs to complete the rest.

I started with the cheapest ones (Tigers, Marlins) and worked my way up. I'm Yelich away from finishing the Brewers. I have the Yankees, Angels, Astros, Mets, Nationals, Rockies, and Dodgers left after that.

I am so lucky I bought deGrom when I did before this at 74k.

I figure I'll be finished with collections around late August...

Don’t worry I only did deGrom cause of the Mets and did Marlins to get Al Leiter. I have not completed any others.

This helped me, I’ve sold everything other than love collections for now. Finished everyone but the Angels

You’ve got to make collecting your priority and sell everything else (program rewards, etc...but there are plenty of great free cards to field a solid team while you grind at collections) - and focus on one division at a time. You should obviously start NL, since you’ve done the central - so sell AL diamonds if you pull them and buy order NL diamonds.
Not gonna lie, you’ve got a long way to go...but try to have fun along the way.
And DO NOT buy packs...seriously.

Play the events and sell the rewards.

Invest that 100k in cheap veteran/flashbacks. Buy 5-10 of every single one, wait for the next drop of collections for these cards and they'll have doubled possibly tripled in price.
Take advantage of RS and program event exclusive cards too.

Will those be the cards paired with the switch hitters in the second part of this event?

I have been at it for about 6 weeks now after initially thinking that this was a pipe dream. Since then I've got the nl done, Trout, Cole and I'm about 30k from Verlander. I just play/grind xp because the level rewards are pretty awesome. I mostly play solo so just get all the conquest maps/solos done and definitely repeat the main map if you are looking to grind more. Al/nl showdown is good too.
When I don't have time to play (like working) I just spam the Jackie Robinson hr mission at forbes...it's really good xp/program stars for taking pitches and not playing, I just replay and never swing. It took me 9 days to get 600 3rd inning ps (and I'll probably ease up once I get my free ls diamond at diamond 85)
