If there's already a discussion of this topic elseware, I apologize. Please direct me to proper location and I'll move it. I'm a 2 way player, and currently lead league in avg. & RBIs in my 2nd MLB season. I have enough ABs to qualify for both. However, game doesn't even acknowledge me as 3B player, only as a pitcher. My own club (Mets) doesn't even have me on team's 3B depth chart, they have me as 7th in CF, even though this toon has never played OF. I'm sure this is because my chosen archtype at start of career was sparkplug. I like to steal bases. Why does the game allow 2 way players if it's going to completely ignore all progress that isn't in pitching category? I can't even start over with a new toon this year, because once player is started, you can change everything except position & archtype chosen when I started. I ONLY play RTTS, just like every game before this for 6 years running. Really poor execution & design of an interesting idea. My pitcher is all the way up to 80 on overall ability score, and even though I've played MANY more games at 3B, my rating there is still only 69. Surprising because both my offensive & defensive attributes have moved up to the low 40s. I

Also, 2 way is a fake because of some success, organization sees me as a pitcher only. I want to START OVER!

This is ridiculous! I HATE being a 2 way player because my archtype (in last years game it would have been Jeff McNeil type) won't let me progress. According to game, I should be a CFer, but I'm playing 3rd base. Position chosen because organization I play for has a solid SS & 2nd base player. I don't like outfield, but now I can't play at all. WTF do the dev's do this? Will not be playing this game any more, can't wait for SOD 3.

Not at all. I've stopped and started multiple RTTS careers since patch 3 came out - no issues with archetype progression at all. I'm assuming that's the progression but you're talking about??
I disagree. I chose archtype that supposedly is for CF, but I play 3rd base. I don't even appear on my team's 3B hierarchy, I appear as bottom CF, a position I have never and will never play. Simply not advancing attributes at all
Been stuck at 66 for 3 game months. -

Just got off the phone with my brother who preordered the $100.00 Version of The Show 21. He tells me if you change your sliders at all you gain no XP for playing. Thank you for making this change you just saved me money. Now I don't have to buy the game. This is suppose to be something fun to take me away from my problems. Some will argue that it needs to be real. Well if you want real go try out for a real MLB team. This is suppose to be fun and with this change its not. I will not be buying this version of The Show or any other till this is changed. You make the game. I pay $60.00 for it I should be able to play however I want and still get XP.
Apparently you don't know what "baseball simulation" means. This game was always meant to mirror a realistic experience. What you're looking for is an arcade style baseball game and there are plenty of those out there. Go play those. Bye Felicia.
I disagree with your post. Especially for single player mode, simply turning off trades. I'm a Mers fan. You know the 1st trade my game made? Trading Francisco Lindor for Justin Turner. How in ANY universe is that real? Just ridiculous, and your response shows a complete lack of insight on what player's want. Real, give me a break.

I played 2 seasons of div. 2 baseball, & I watch as many MLB games as I can. One constant that RTTS fails to consider is how booing crowds can affect a pitchers psyche. If you ever watch, and a pitcher throws over to 1st base multiple times, the crowds get testy and will start to boo. In part simply because it slows the game down to a snail's pace, and also they'd prefer seeing an action play instead of watching P & 1st baseman play catch. The only way to raise the rating on your steal ability in RTTS 21 without buying perks or other "boosting" equipment is to attempt to steal bases. Tonight, while still playing AA team RTTS, the NPC pitcher threw over to 1st base 21 consecutive times while I had only a level 1 of 2 lead. My player isn't even fast, still rated only 49 on the index. Not only is it unrealistic that ANY pitcher would throw over 21 consecutive times, even with a really fast runner, it seems the game has lowered RTTS player's abilities so much the only way to advance is by paying for upgrades (I do use them if they're earned in packs by playing) RTTS is the only thing I play in the Show games, and I'm so disillusioned with the Show 21 I'm just going back to 20. I play this game to have fun, not possible in RTTS 21.
RTTS - Poor execution of 2 way player design.
Is there a way to restart rtts player?

No XP if you change your slidders.
NPC pitchers can throw over to first unlimited times
