Here's how online play could be mostly fixed:
- Stop assigning wins and losses in the event of a server freeze.
- Fix lagging that is resulting in bad umpire calls and game-changing plays.
- Allow players a limited number of chances to leave an online game before a pitch is thrown to prevent mismatches.
- Do not allow starting pitchers to be used as relievers or, at the very least, severely limit their stamina.
- Disable the "hold R2" feature after the first inning a given pitcher is in the game.
- Make bunt defense better to prevent online abuse of bunting.
- Limit the number of pauses during a game, not just pause time.
- Do not allow friendly quit requests in the last 10 seconds of a player's pause time.
- Investigate reports of cheating and ban/strip wins from those who are caught doing so.
- Players who received losses as a result of proven cheating should also have those losses removed from their record.
They should either fix freeze-offs and prevent them occurring, or find a way to detect the freeze and award the winning team the game if more than 1/2 of the game has been played. So after the start of the 5th in RS and 3rd in BR ideally. Remember users can deliberately freeze the game in certain circumstances if losing and wait it out to get a win. This would prevent that.
Definitely need better synchronisation. This game is a shambles in large part due to connectivity issues.
No. Anyone could leave when faced with a tough opponent or pitcher they don’t like to face. Friendly quit is enough.
Yes. Stamina needs work.
No. I and other players use it to check pitch history and so on. Make it so it doesn’t interfere with the pitcher in any way, sure.
Definitely yes.
It’s whatever really.
Don’t accept them then.
& 10) Above my pay grade. Seems like that should already be a thing though.
how do people even freeze the game that makes no sense?
