DD = Everything to SDS.

You have to set all the lineups, rotations, and 26 man roster within Spring Training. Once you do this you can sim to the regular season and everything will stick. I use the 26 man so that the rosters don’t go crazy during September call ups. Any player on the 40 man in Sept. will be automatically called up throughout Sept. and all the lineups and rotations get jacked up. With a 26 man roster none of this will happen.
Thanks Beastmode28cm. Yeah, I was definitely hoping to avoid that. The time that would take is absolutely insane. It wouldn't be so bad if we could share franchise files so they would circulate much like rosters do. Then it could be more of a community effort that would help us all a bit. It's just sad that the next time I want to use a fresh roster update after major rating changes, transactions, or just simply wanting to start over that I'd have to go through all of that work. I have absolutely done it in the past due to my craziness updating rosters, but I don't know if I have the patience anymore. It would literally take 8-10 hours to do. I'm just tired of polishing turds and trying to make a season or franchise playable quickly with new rosters. I have, and have had the same issue with Madden as well. They too are in love with Ultimate Team the same was SDS is in love with Diamond Dynasty. (PS. Diamond Dynasty is an absolutely amazing mode, however it just sucks the attention away from annoying problems like this one.) Playing a season is fun too though. Its not all about DD.
SDS, do you actually read this stuff or do you let us punch ourselves out and hope we stop bringing issues to you?

It's a joke. In case you didn't notice, SDS only cares about Diamond Dynasty......

Not everybody wants to play a season with players moving all over the place. Like many in this thread I prefer the real rosters as I go through the season. Isn't it amazing that cheap and remedial RBI Baseball 21 can figure out how to update rosters automatically during the season without having to start over your season and this game can't even get the lineups and rotations to transfer unaffected when starting a Franchise? Broke AF.

Thanks for the info guys. I've tried pretty much any trick other than somehow using holy water or sacrificing a live chicken to fix the problem....Yeah Rosco-Suupa, I can't play that way. I wish I could. I'm too O.C.D. from a roster standpoint I guess. I'd like it to be somewhat reflective of what the heck the real lineups and rotations actually look like. It's just such a waste because there are excellent rosters available that would be amazing in Franchise, but the way they get scrambled is a joke. Nice job SDS.

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only person that synchronizes the real day to day rosters with my Franchise...... These issues are beyond frustrating.

Hello Everybody,
I cannot be the only person with this issue. I've been eagerly waiting for the OSFM Roster to come out since release day. Tonight at 7PM (Mountain Time) the roster was released. Excited to start my Franchise I loaded the roster, started a Franchise, controlled all 30 teams and skipped to the regular season. (Before anybody asks, yes I do control CPU Rosters) When I started looking at lineups, rotations and rosters I noticed that the only thing that made it through the Franchise creation was the actual players on the rosters. Other than that all the lineups and rotations had all drastically changed. And I don't mean just a tweak here and there... It was like a bomb had went off within each team.
This has been a fixable issue in the past with a little work. In years past you could make sure that the only players on the 40 man roster were the Major Leaguers. All AAA, AA and A players would need to be removed from the 40 man. Once you did that and started a Franchise all lineups, rotations and rosters would stick. Before I panicked I did exactly this tonight. It made zero difference.
So, I think what has happened here is pretty apparent. PlayStation and San Diego Studios have put so much time into Diamond Dynasty that Franchise has fallen by the wayside in a big way. They don't make any additional cash off Franchise so it doesn't matter how broken it is. Some people like playing with rosters that are mostly accurate such as myself. Let's just say that OSFM is the issue (which it isn't). I loaded the official roster The Show released today. They did a great job with recent transactions and the lineups and rotations are close to perfect. I decided to load that into a Franchise just to see what happened. Same thing.... Why put so much work into having accurate lineups and rotations in the official roster when all they do is get randomly shuffled just by merely starting a Franchise? It's lazy that this is an issue.
MLB the Show is a beautiful game. It is and has been the gold standard for Baseball Games since its 2006 return. But Franchise is unplayable if you want any semblance of accurate lineups, rotations and rosters.
Fix this issue SD Studios... Or bring back Season Mode which didn't destroy the rosters when you started it. (I never understood why you guys dumped that mode anyway. Especially since you could choose to play less than 162 in that mode too.)
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to stop my lineups and rotations from being destroyed when I start a Franchise? Any help would be appreciated.
