Showdown is the only place where I hit into 3 double plays with perfect perfect hits lmao

Yea that’s me. I just got the game in Nov and build a pretty nice team grinding, but I don’t even play RS anymore because every game is against WS caliber players. Had to play 60 games in the event just to get Belli due to playing players ranked way above me. I’ll probably try battle royale I guess lol ️
-
And there could also be a drop in mode like on FIFA or Rec in 2k playing a match teaming up with random users.
-
I was about to make a post about this but found this post. Coming from Xbox, I just got the show in Nov and was expecting some sort of team play with rtts players. I’m shocked more players aren’t calling for it. I was going to grind rtts, but it would be for no reason if you can’t play online imo.
I play 2k pro-am/rec and Fifa pro clubs, and it’s the best part of both games. 2k has literally built their entire game around the “my player” idea and Fifa is trending more towards it with VOLTA. Even awful Madden finally added it with “the yard” mode.
-
To not get bored, it could be 3 or 6 inning games (I would be fine with 9). Maximum 9 users, minimum 2 or 3.
-
Like you said, everyone could roster 2 players for their team (fielder and pitcher).
-
Create the batting line up, choose pitcher etc before searching for a game.
-
if playing with less than 9, CPU can control other rtts players who aren’t currently online or CPU players if you don’t have enough players rostered. (Users bat for them)
-
When someone is up to bat other than an active player’s rtts pro, there could be 5 seconds given to choose which user bats for them.
-
keeps team stats and rankings like pro-am or pro-clubs.
This could be HUGE and the best team play in any sports game. I know they probably can’t do it for The Show 21 (unless they’ve been working on it), but please give us this on the show 22 at least!!

I probably played that guy today as well. After every pitch pausing for 10-15 seconds. I was thinking maybe it was some sort of glitch, but you’re right. It’s probably a way to get people to quit. Because I sure did lmao Games are already pretty long.
You should either only be able to pause once every at bat or once per inning or something. It’s ridiculous.

Glad I found this thread...
I got out on two wall hits in one game because I’m holding L1 so the runner will keep running because I can’t tell if it’s over the green monster or not. When I saw it hit the wall, I use the left stick and triangle for him to stop at 2nd, but he ran through it both times; then turned around to get back to 2nd, and is thrown out due to the baserunning input being extremely delayed.
Maybe it’s my fault since I used L1 and the left stick, but they put them in the game; they shouldn’t hinder each other imo.

I just got PS5 for Black Friday coming from Xbox one. So I’ve been playing the show for about a month and a half. My RS record is like 29-34, and I get SO FRUSTRATED losing to people I can tell aren’t good at all. But I keep reminding myself I’m new and will get better with time.
For instance, I jumped into FIFA in 2012. I was bad until fifa 2013 came out. I think it takes about a year - two years to get good at a new game online.
Take a break and keep getting better man.

Are you using PS 5? Just got for Christmas and I haven't won a game yet! losing to bronze player! crappy contact, ground outs hitting nothing hard!
Yes I’m playing on PS5. I saw a thread if you type it in the search. It said go to your settings on PS5 and click saved data and game app settings. Turn on performance mode. And go in the mlb the show settings and go to audio video; make sure you have “faster selected”... it plays better since I did that.

I just played a ranked vs Fried and good, good popped out at least 12 times with batters such as post season Arozarena, Larry Walker, Brian Anderson, 98ovr Mondesi, and lighting Jose Ramirez. Hit one perfect, perfect with Ramirez (125 con, 125 pow) which was a lineout to SS
I walked off in the 9th with a 2 shot homer, but it shouldn’t have gotten to that imo. Game ended 2-1; I had 8 hits and he had 1.I feel like I’m making good inputs. Do I just need to “get good” or are others experiencing the same issues?
Thanks,

You also have to take into account that a lot of people who are still playing now have been playing since the game dropped. With all the XP available this year, most people still around are probably at least diamond
Facts. It’s probably not many people below diamond still playing.

I just made the switch from Xbox 1 to PS5 two weeks ago. First game I downloaded was the show obviously. I’ve been grinding pretty hard because I love baseball and really like the show. I’m currently a level 78 bronze with a diamond dynasty record of 15-16 I believe with mostly 99ovr players that are available in the community market. I have played maybe 2 opponents that were below diamond. All of my opponents have been diamond or prestige. Brutal matchmaking for a noob like me that’s been playing for 2 weeks. Idk.
Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk,
TossGawd1Don't pay attention to the levels. All of those high level guys are from card collecting, not playing games.
Agree with this. A high level just means they play the hell out of the game and will have some better cards more than likely, but not necessarily an indication of skill. There are some great budget cards that you can get and field a competitive team rather quickly.
Yea like my team is pretty nice. 98 ovr but I dont have the Griffeys and Sotos like a majority of players.

I can buy that. I’ve only played 30-32 games, but grinded moments to acquire players. Dudes record looking like 361-350.

TossGawd1If you’re 78 bronze, getting matched up with diamond and prestige guys, and your record is 15-16, I think you’re pretty dang good.
Thanks. I’ve been watching YouTube videos on how to hit non-stop. I can’t quite get down pitch recognition.
