Soooper nice guy. I worked for the parking company back then. Got to work the players parking lot a few times, so I got to meet a lot. McGwire, Piazza, Leiter, Vlad Sr., etc!! It was nuts. A baseball fan's dream. 98% my co-workers were clueless about baseball. I was in heaven!!!!

It's been in NBA 2K basketball for years.
I love it, but i've barely touched it in 2K26, because I like playing with & vs. human users in the 'REC' room way more. It's 4 five minute quarters and fun even if you get blown out sometimes!
It's great, it's just that i've played it in 2K for so long that it doesn't mean much anymore.
It is way too late to see it in The Show '26. Maybe next year.

I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I actually liked the "takeover" packs, gave a bit more excitement to show packs for a time. Only issue was not putting them back in for forever season.

But then the fact we can still play 23 DD, or even 21, speaks is a great thing in itself. I just cant do 21 between the DH, less impactful bat sounds, and lack of miniseasons.

I never needed to play online.
I still get my baseball and hockey fix playing their Ultimate Team modes offline.
I started playing sports games way before online came along in '99, fwiw.
There's still fun to be had offline, imo.

I'm a major Metallica fan. Saw the 'And Justice For All' tour at Nassau Coliseum, and went to the listening party for the 'black' album at MSG(A mosh pit actually developed......for an album listening party!!!! Memories!), but even if they just did their covers of 'tame' songs like Bob Seger's: 'Turn the page,' or Thin Lizzy's: 'Whiskey in the jar,' or their 'tame' stuff like: 'Nothing else matters,' hardcore fans would want the heavier stuff like 'The 4 horsemen,' or even 'Battery,' pronounced 'Bat-ta-ray,' when sung, for those who never heard it, lol.

I think sliders have a lot to do with gameplay and difficulty.
In some modes, they're definitely cranked. That's why simulating difficulty in games is so hard to pull off.

I'm waiting for someone to say they're played Strat-O-Matic!
I saw it as a youngster, but felt it was weird playing ball as a board game.
I've always been a stat geek, in fact I have many 'subject' notebooks of me writing down stats for all 162 games of seasons of Triple Play Baseball in '97 & '98. I would do Indians seasons first, because my Mets weren't good, then a Mets season. One time, my Mets season file corrupted on game 161! I was crestfallen.
I guess i wrote the stats mainly to record my created player first. I can write really small, so it was mainly abbreviated stats of each game on each line in the notebook for every game + playoffs.

I started with Triple Play '97 with Tony Gwynn on the cover and it's now awful graphics, but they were considered great at the time. That said, they at least had all-star game players in their individual team jersey for the ASG. That's something that impressed me back then. Today's Show graphics are still great to me as well. I'm more concerned about my PCI placement, because my timing is almost always good. It's frustrating to no end, thatclose to being elite at the plate, but that's another story!

They just better fix the stats and also the fatigue issues (CPU uses your pitcher, you get the fatigue hit...but they can pitch the same guy every game)

Sometimes, to combat the pitcher fatigue issue, I just plop in another starter, boop, & look! 100 stam!

I don't know why players everywhere from IG to FB, etc. expect & almost demand better graphics! Do users expect when a batter farts in the catchers face, to see the actual vapors from the gas? Do you want to see every color in a seagulls poo? Do you want to see broadcasters scurry out of the way from a foul ball, headed to their booth? Do you want to smell the pee-pee of the 4 train rumbling into Yankee Stadium station?
Many say it looks like a PS3 game. We can't even get competition or competing games in any sport, yet some expect miracles from the PS5 at this point.
I say, just don't buy or wait until the PS6 for changes and improvements.
