I made basically the exact thread a few days ago. It’s a nightmare and horribly thought out, super disappointing they have not made corrections based on the obvious flaws.

Just went and looked at it and agree. Just an absolute mess. Unfortunately I don’t see why they’d put in the effort to make improvements if they don’t have competition to worry about. Also feels like they don’t play the game themselves, and if they do, they have to notice all these issues, and still don’t do anything about it, man that’s just brutal and a slap in the face to everyone.

Motivation, Enjoyment, and confidence in SDS, for me personally, is at an all time low.

It’s very lame to have to complete missions based on innings played / pitched . You get up by 2 runs in the first two innings? Opponent quits.

That starting pitcher now has 25% stamina or less and can’t be used for a few games even though he only pitched 2 innings. Terrible logic and penalizes the player who did not quit.

How about a penalty of some sort if people are just going to quit early in the game? We need some sort of deterrent. I don’t have the motivation to just start a new game for the same BS to just keep happening.

Opponent quits early should atleast give us 5 innings of credit or something. Starting pitchers get the win if opponent quits in the first inning. in the real life it takes 5 innings from the starter to qualify for a win. Obviously this is a video game but still, I’m struggling to understand the logic behind the execution of all this.

Sucks that SDS has a pretty much exclusive agreement with MLB that only allows them to produce a large scale game like this. Clearly SDS needs some competition to get their heads on straight and actually put in effort to make this a game that can fulfill its potential, but until then, they have basically no reason to go above and beyond for its players and community, but instead they just looks at ways to increase $$ transactions.

What a mess of a game this year overall. I love my squad but hate the game. The lack of legitimate customer service really blows. It’s near impossible to legitimately and easily contact someone.

I’m willingly torturing myself by playing this game. Overall my screen time is just home page of the DD while trying to decide if I want to try and play a full game.

Thanks for allowing me to vent. Hope SDS hires experienced people to make next years game actually functional but I doubt it.

This card has just been absolute filth for me. Probably some sort of combo between having zero pitches that move straight and lower velocity than the typical 99 studs. Gonna miss him as Commerce Comet will be my season 2 WC…but man, Professor gave me 1000% confidence every time I started him online.

Don’t see many people ever discuss him which is why I’m considering him “underrated” even as a 99 . Not the easiest to get hard contact off of him

As the title states- I just played someone who had 8 set 1 cards in their starting lineup in a ranked series game. How is this possible???

Has anyone else seen anything like this happening?

I have a completely eligible online roster. Core 99 Jeter and rest are set 2 and one player (relief brock Stewart) set 3(made me activate him as wild card to put in bullpen) and my ACTUAL wild card is 99 set 1 Jorge.

I’m trying to add another Set 3 monthly program card to my bullpen and it is making me active him as a wildcard and remove my other set 3 pitcher. I can’t just switch him into my Roster like I should just be able to. Am i doing something wrong here I’m not realizing?

I added a set 3 monthly award bullpen card and it also made him activate as a wild card. But it still allowed me to keep posada.

So I “technically” have 2 wild cards. But one of them is a set 3 so I don’t understand why it’s being used as a wild card which is also preventing me from adding another set 3 bullpen card to my active roster without making him the wild card out of the bullpen which replaces my other set 3 bullpen arm by default and can’t do anything about it. Has to be a bug right?

Anyone else have an issue with this or anything? I would add a photo or two for better context but I’m not smart enough to figure out how to add a photo to this post lol.

I think 3 wild cards is a great compromise between what SDS wants with sets and what most of the community wants (from what I can tell) with the ammount of effort/time/dollars spent playing the game so far.

Logistically speaking, just about everyone knows that the only players left playing this game consistently after set 2 is unusable online are the diehards/streamers and numbers will drop in players pretty quickly as new games are out and interest and time will be spent elsewhere.

Really enjoying this game overall in terms of gameplay besides a few minor complaints but don’t see my self grinding programs at all after set 2 is worthless.

So I’m conclusion, 3 wild cards I think is a great compromise and a chance to keep more casuals
And people without the time to grind for a competitive team can stick around and still have some fun.

While I certainly think there are valid points here, I think it's a premature to write that SDS is not listening to community feedback. If the feedback you are referencing is the forum and or Reddit, a lot of that is the same group of people complaining about the same things over and over. Many of those posts are people who complain about the game on the forums year after year. SDS is surely looking at usage and player data that we will never have access to. They recently did a survey that we most likely will not see the results of. They may see things in the feedback that will cause them to change course in the second half of the game cycle. They may also see feedback that shows that things are working, and changes will be minimal.

Fair enough, appreciate the feedback. While yes a good amount of the feedback I’m referring too is from this forum site, (I’ve never looked at the Reddit page) , most of the community feedback I see most is from my Twitter For You page which is filled with The Show content and content creators as I check that app every hour. Even the big time streamers have so many negative things to say than in the past imo.

You are right about the survey, I forgot about that and didn’t participate as I was focused on some real life stuff and wished I got the chance to do that survey. Hope they actually are willing listen to that feedback from them and not just shove it aside.

At the very beginning of the game I was open to the idea of Sets and expiration as I was Getting tired of having to face the same pitcher every other game type of thing.

As we inch closer to the end of Set 1 and have felt how hard it is to grind when I don’t have all the time in the world to play this game to get 92-97 players, I’m fairly certain that after I can’t use my set 2 cards I’ll have near zero desire to play this game as much as I have so far.

Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed this game and having an elite team from the very beginning helped with that.

But almost everything being no-sell (i mean atleast give us a quick sell option) , pretty much minimal stub earning from actually playing games, great sellable cards only being hidden in packs in the marketplace (which i refuse to buy cause I’ve heard enough from everyone else saying it’s just a complete waste of stubs), live series cards being absolutely useless in ranked games, and only being able to have 1 wild card in the future just makes me not want to “start over” and will make make this game die 5 months in, besides the true die hards at the end of season 2. Just my opinion.

SDS has been completely ignorant of community feedback so far and has had pretty much zero in game adjustments/updates besides cosmetics and simple stuff. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think just about every game
Update note has said there’s been no gameplay updates/adjustments.

Since I don’t have the time to grind and like playing online Ranked I purchased stubs at the beginning & start of set 2 as bday present to myself but have refused to put another dime into the game since then as the realization hit that money spent will literally be useless in less 2 months.

More games will be coming out later in the year as well will keep people away from this game specifically as all work put into the game the last few months will be worthless. I’m sure I’m preaching to choir to many people but I know there will be a time in a few months where I want to pick the game back up and play with the team I “earned/purchased” and won’t be able to which will just cause me to play another game or different console.

I appreciate SDS attempting to try something different but what’s the point of it without listening to community feedback and changing things up as requested by the players of the game? Yes they are a business and want to maximize their profits which is why they made many of the choices they’ve made but I think the choices made will cause the overall amount of players to drastically drop and move to another game as it’s not worth the grind/hassle and is less rewarding in the past. Atleast from the DD perspective, which is the only mode I play.

Remember the times when you opened up a pack a saw a diamond and couldn’t wait to see who walked out? That small but fun feeling is completely gone.

Idk I just know that i won’t want keep “starting over” after earning many p5’s and won’t be able to use them in RS.

The business side of this game years game has clearly changed from previous years will be interesting to see the effects of it as the excitement and “new-ness”’of the game winds down.

Just my thoughts, and wish SDS listened to the community more.

Overall struggling with Mantle at the plate. Only hitting .190 after 80 games but love the switch hitting and the absolute eliteness in the outfield. I know he’s clearly a force to be reckoned with but I just can’t get consistency out of him at the plate. Some players I can absolutely stroke it with are players like 99 Brantley and 99 Harper and the 99 Altuve. It’s definitely player specific swing type that is messing with me.

As much as I hate to say it I think it would overall benefit me to sell him. He’s selling for 411,000 stubs at this moment and I have zero clue how this market is going to go as set 1 ends overall and Set 2 coming up in just two weeks.

I feel like I can get a pretty solid “cheap” replacement for him at CF (Sizemore) or someone who has a secondary position in the outfield. Would love to get the 99 Nolan Ryan as I can’t seem to touch him when I face him. And would easily be able to afford him if I sold Mickey. Idk. “Tough” decisions to be made.

My entire active roster is set 2 besides the core 99 Jeter and most likely will use my wild card on season 1 switch hitting Posada.

His price currently is about as high as it’s ever been and wondering if it’s time to pull the trigger and sell or wait a week as set 1 gets closer to ending. But like I said I have zero idea how this market is going to react as set 1 expires. Part of me feels like he goes even more up in price as players are expiring and he’s basically the best (most expensive) player in the game.

How do y’all think his price will move Over the next week or two? Or just as clueless as me? Thanks for any input.

Warn people about him. which feels odd as this is protecting a harasser, abuser, and exploiter of the game and people should be allowed to be aware of shady people like this specific guy. But SDS is a California company and we know that California loves to protect people with poor character and standards vs positive contributing members of society.

Played someone today. I was home- he was away team. After 2 at bats in top of the first by him (including one bunt out) he starts spamming my inbox telling me I’m cheating and using a “Zen” and he’s recording this and reporting me for cheating.

First off I’ve never heard of a “Zen” before today as I’m a casual player and haven’t touched my PS5 in months before this game came out. I thought the only “cheating” that can occur in this game is by somehow initiating a freeze off or something to that affect.

My record isn’t great- maybe a few games above .500. Over Half my lineup has batting averages under .225 so I feel like if I was cheating I would be wayyyyyy better than that.
I can’t figure out how to upload photos of our chat to this thread but he says he has a “SW that detects Cronus Zen”….. whatever that means. Literally no idea what he’s talking about.

Says he’s reporting me and that I can expect a 90 day ban. I didn’t quit, he ran out of time while messaging me, so I got the win. (which there no chance I believe I get banned unless his daddy runs SDS)
Beware of this behavior as he will spam your inbox and accuse you of cheating without any evidence and report you literally after just a few pitches. I really wish I could let people know who this garbage human is so they can avoid him. Shame on you SDS for protecting this harassing and exploiting P.o.S by not allowing others to know who to avoid.

And for the record, the first at bat he had I threw atleast 2 balls outside the zone so I wasn’t just painting corners. 2nd at bat he bunts for an out then starts to spam me and accuse me of cheating before I even had the chance to hit in the bottom of the first inning.

Still have zero idea what he’s talking about when it comes to a “Zen” but I guess I’ll do some research on it. He was very harassing and “threatening” like this is his game and runs it.

Such a strange interaction and behavior by this guy.

Also, for the people who say “turn off messages from non-friends “- I’ve had more positive interactions than ones like this. Simple GG messages have turned into friendsships and playing together on co-op mode.

I don’t need to avoid him or beware of him because I have my messages turned off

If you did then you wouldn’t have to deal with something like this- it’s a real simple fix

I have many “friends” and relationships built simply from a nice message from an opponent following a game played. This was someone clearly trying to exploit and bully someone in the first inning of a game. I feel like there’s a pretty clear day & night difference here and all I wanted to do was warn others as I wish I would have known, because I do not try to scam people, but rather inform people.

You can turn you messages off so people can’t contact you- and if you feel the need to make friends and interact with others after that playing a game then YOU CAN MESSAGE THEM. Once you do that they will be able to respond

Licking windows? Maybe not. Taking and leaving massive fecal dumps in the street or sidewalk? Absolutely a thing, seen it with my own eyes. Heck there’s even an application for that to report. Decreasing punishments and bail amounts for theft? Yes that’s happening there. Downtown San Fran is basically ghost town now. Companies leaving that state and closing stores left & right and more people are moving out of the state than they are moving to the state. You have your blinders on and see nothing wrong going on in your state

Hey man if you want to protect and encourage people to harass, abuse, and threaten people go right ahead. Very on brand for a state where people have to leave their cars unlocked so they don’t get their windows smashed and grabbed. I’m over here just trying to help people avoid a specific player who is clearly a bad person who loves to harass & threaten people and has obviously done this multiple times, and had my post removed because I said who he was. So yes it’s a little discouraging to see SDS protect harassing and abusive players rather than allowing an informative post that people should be aware about. There was no doxxing of personal information, just a username for people to be aware of.

As the title asks- You have a favorite player in real life but suck with him in the game- what do you typically do?

I’m having a hard time hitting with one of my favorite players of all time - 99 Correa- who I have and is non sellable - so can’t do anything about that besides bench him. Makes me wish I went w G Cole for RS Reward.

I absolutely love Yordan in real life but can’t hit for anything with him in this game. Literally batting .100 after like 80+ AB’s. I could make some solid stubs w him but I feel so wrong selling one of my absolute favorite real life players lol. But i also don’t set collect any players that can sell for 100K+ to leave me the ability to sell them and get someone new. I’m sure I can hit with someone way better in that DH spot, it just sucks that I’m having a hard time with him specifically.

Also- struggling with 99 Mickey mantle hitting only about .200 with him but his fielding covering centerfield is just immaculate and love he’s a switch hitting CF. Could sell him rn for 400k stubs but man it would just suck to sell him cause I’m having a hard time hitting with him. Wish there was a practice mode where we could use the actual DD cards to help time their swings.

Any tips or tricks you guys recommend to help with “practicing” to improve swings? Thanks
