I’m only 17 so don’t judge me. I am a waiter/runner in a high end restaurant.

Hello Everyone, as we just got finest for MLB 20 this is when the game usually starts winding down and speculations for the new year begin. I thought it would be fun to try and think of new legends they can add for next year and attempt to guess the collection rewards!
AL: 99 Prime Boston Red Sox Manny Ramirez
NL: 99 Awards MVP Roberto Clemente
MLB: 99 Signature Roy Campanella.

Hello all I think we can all agree that the trout is a great card but we were expecting a little more from this collection. I am not complaining at all I just thought it would be harder to complete than it actually was and the way that SDS hyped it up made it seem like it would be harder than Honus. Anyway do you all remember how the the prestige reward path was hidden until someone unlocked it? I have a feeling that if you collect all 18 vouchers when the tops now and monthly awards are available and you prestige trout there will be a greater collection for someone else. But that’s just a theory however I think it could happen. Let me know what you all think.

It will be 99 Jimmie fox with juiced hitting and 82 fielding. Will have Catcher and third base secondary’s, when prestige’s gets hard gold fielding in secondary’s.

I have a feeling that they are going to offer options about how to complete this collection tmrw. I think that everyone must collect prime, dig, awards, veteran, breakout, rookie, postseason, and all star cards. Since everyone who plays offline will complain about the prestige I think they will reward online players who play a lot by making people either collect prestige cards and the offline players will collect the players league, prospects and hr derby. What I’m saying is that if you have more prestige cards collected maybe you won’t have to collect the players league, hr derby, and the prospects. For example if you have 5 prestige cards that is the minimum requirement and u get packs and xp, if you have 15 you don’t need the players league collection, if you have 20 you don’t need the prospect collection, and if you have 25 you don’t need the hr derby collection. This would offer a fair way for everyone to get the card no matter your play style. Please let me know what u think.

A prime Maris would be disgusting he’d have probably around 115 contact vs both, 125 power vs both, 125 vision, high gold fielding bc he won the gold glove the year before, and they could prob give him 60-70 speed.

I think it’s a yankee because the always use the chase for 28 slogan. However there are 4 Yankees names big enough for this are a Signature Ruth, 1961 Awards Maris, Prime Joe DiMaggio, and a prime Lou Gehrig.

@benh_27 said in New idea for catchers:
Just thought about this for the borderline calls online. I think that catchers should have a frame rating and that effect if borderline pitches are strikes or balls. Framing is such a huge part of catching and pitching would be cool if they could somehow add it to the game
I have been saying that forever and it’s a great idea. Players like pudge, Posey, bench, and of course Jeff Mathis would be more useful if they can steal strikes on the black and an inch or two off it. Of course this would have to be realistic and eye height pitches couldn’t be strikes lol. It would make you have to fight off a pitch instead of all those people who just never swing if it’s on the black. It would make this game way more fun and value defensive catchers way more.

Hello everyone I just wanted to bring up a point aabout Tino Martinez as a new legend. By the way I am a Yankees fan an I loved tino when he played. Why the hell would SDS go and get another yankee first basemen who is a leftie that kills righties. There were so many better options for Yankees legends who’s rights were probably similiar prices such as Bernie Williams, Chuck Knaublock, Paul O Neil, Alfonso Soriano (I pray to god he comes into this game), Andy Pettite, David Wells, Thurman Munson, David Cone, and even Mark Teixeira would ha be been good because he’s a switch with good power vs both sides. Notice none of these people were all time greats because people like DiMaggio and Jeter would be pre launch marketing type players and cost way to much to obtain mid season so I am being realistic. In my opinion this was a terrible legend to add to the game because we already have Giambi and Mattingly who are the same and both on the Yankees. And besides Yankees there’s Mccovey and many more lefty batters who are first basemen righty killers. Any of the legends I mentioned would have been much better choices and I think most people will agree. Lastly the only hope for this Tino card is that he was rights were a packaged deal with the other good Yankees from the 90s who were always great but never Jeter or Rivera caliber. We have seen this in the past because when Babe Ruth’s rights came into the game in 18 a few more old time legends came with him.

Fingers has been a monster for me, and get this, he doesn’t hang out he’s with that control and that forkball messes people up. 4 Ip and 9 strikeouts all in ranked.
-
I personally loved number 1 because you get a free 91 for doing minimal grinds and if you chose to play more you can get a better card. I think it’s a win win. However the no quicksell and br 3 batter thing is annoying

I thought it would be good for theme teams but the base chemistry part I can understand as being too much but you guys wouldn’t agree with a theme chemistry idea.

Hello everyone as mlb the show 19 is almost done I have started to play madden over the past 2 months and there are many things in that game which could be implemented into the show. The biggest thing is chemistries and power ups. These would boost fan favorite cards and Live series to being usable and giving people an incentive to make a theme team. I have taken a long time to make the following list up so please give it a chance before you bash me for liking madden
. The power ups could be called work in progress cards which could bring back the ticket counter, tickets are earned by playing, leveling up and missions. tickets could help you boost these cards to higher overalls and feeding the work in progress cards lower versions of the players cards, for example take babe Ruth: first is him bronze veteran then a gold all-star ten a 85 breakout then a 95 hardware and then a 99 signature to boost his endgame stats. These cards would be able to boost any theme team which they played on irl. An example where this could be effective in terms of this could be a Yankees theme team where the cards don’t all have to be Yankees to give each other boosts for example Rickey Henderson and Reggie Jackson could be on a Yankees them team. Ruth on a Red Sox team, Sheffield on the Dodgers, the list just keeps going and it would be so fun to build a theme team with an actual meaning and boosts.
Chemistries: Would increase attributes on all players equipped with it as you put the chemistry in more cards. There are 13 hitters on the team so there would be 5 tiers of this process, tier one needs 3 players, tier 2 needs 6 players, tier 3 needs 9 players, tier 4 needs 12 players, and max tier needs all 13 position players. Or you could split it up with two tiers of 2 different chemistries on your team. and the boosts would be bigger than madden because we have a 125 rating scale. The upgrades attributes would show a red flame and the normal ones would show the same yellow one as always. Since 8 of the 9 players on a baseball diamond are 2 way players unlike football I think there could be 2 slots for chemistries here such as: (there will be more to come but I didn’t have the time lmk what you guys think so far!)
Offensive Slot:- Swing for the fences:
Tier 1: + 1 power vs left, + 1 power vs right, + 1 disc.
Tier 2: + 1 power vs left, + 1 power vs right, + 1 disc, -1 vison, -1 contact vs left, -1 contact vs right
Tier 3: + 1 power vs left, +1 power vs right , + 1 disc,
Tier 4: + 1 power vs left, +1 power vs right , + 1 disc, -1 vision, -1 contact vs left, -1 contact vs right
Max Tier: + 5 power vs right, + 5 power vs left, -5 contact vs right, -5 contact vs left, -5 vision, + 5 disc - Small Ball:
Tier 1: +1 contact vs. right, + 1 contact vs left, + 1 vision, + 1 bunt, + 1 drag bunt
Tier 2: +1 contact vs. right, + 1 contact vs left, + 1 vision, + 1 bunt, + 1 drag bunt, - 1 power vs right, -1 power vs left, - 1 disc
Tier 3: +1 contact vs. right, + 1 contact vs left, + 1 vision, + 1 bunt, + 1 drag bunt
Tier 4: +1 contact vs. right, + 1 contact vs left, + 1 vision, + 1 bunt, + 1 drag bunt, -1 power vs left, -1 power vs right, -1 disc
Max Tier: + 5 contact vs right, + 5 contact vs left, + 5 vision, + 5 bunt, + 5 drag bunt, -5 power vs right, -5 power vs left, - 5 disc
- Swing for the fences:
