MLB the Show 15 and 16 were amazing (despite some flaws). 17 and 18 had too much RNG, but awesome content. In 19 and 20, the game play is just terrible. A pile of steaming [censored] with a zillion shiny cards that don't matter. This was my favorite game ever. I hate it now.

Play MLB the Show 16.

Squaring up the ball on HOF is much harder this year, which is GREAT. However, squaring up the ball still has a nearly random outcome, which is TERRIBLE. I don't mind hitting being hard, when you can practice and get better. If you still have RNG outcomes on good swings, it makes the entire hitting system DISMAL.

Explaining a bad patch by saying 'pitch around power hitters more often' is nuts. Seems almost totally beside the point.

Not to mention, your change up 3 feet low might go right down the middle with perfect release.

Not to mention, how you pitch vs. CPU vs. head-to-head vs. real baseball are all totally different.

They destroyed the joy in this game. It's the worst parts of '19.

If one player disconnects, the in-progress play should count. PROBLEM SOLVED. Seems like one guy at SDS could fix that in an hour or two.

Get time machine. Return to 2016.

The flawed game play is on purpose to make bad players beat good players more often, which helps keep them from quitting the game, which increases the chances they buy stubs. The randomness and the late inning drama keeps everyone thinking they are one new shiny card away from being good.

There is nothing to buy in online rated, so it is just the base game play (without the manipulation)

I want a video game. Imagine if you had a perfect headshot in COD and missed, or executed a perfect turn in GranTurismo and crashed, or a perfect jump in Mario Brothers and still fell in the pit. I want input to RULE outcomes 100%.

We have the MLB schedule. We have the 40 man rosters. We have the past performance history.

This game should just apply Inside Edge as if the games will be played, even if they are canceled. Inside Edge is an important part of the LS Card dynamic. Just do it.

NOT REALISTIC.... I want FUN! This new patch makes the game dismal, terrible, not fun.

Next year's game is an animated cartoon series featuring all minor league players rated 99.

This happened last year too. I did NOT pre-order. Game came out and hitting was improved. I bought. One day later, they patched and destroyed hitting. ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG!!!!!!

I'm happy for this patch. However, typically SDS robs your house. When they give you back half your stuff, everyone kisses their [censored] and says how generous they are. We'll see tomorrow.

The best card only gets you a slightly better dice roll. It's all RNG.

I got Trout at 45 and Cole at 90. Not bad.

Hitting is definitely more frustrating and random now. I get fooled every year. Even waited to buy, then the old switch-er-ooo.

This patch literally ruined the game. There were tweaks needed, sure, but NOT THIS.

These cards are too good for a bunch of nobodys. Seriously, better than most MVPs in this game. Dumb.

I guess we are on our way to six 99-rated versions of every card. Terrible.
