A single-elimination tournament mode, where each game is one inning and each tournament is 7 games (7 innings) would be fun! Under this setup, the tournament would have 128 teams and last as long as a typical DD game. Each tournament could be played on one field to eliminate loading times.
Players would be able to watch ongoing tournaments live and bet stubs on who will win.
Are you serious? That's like going from veteran to HOF. Why not demand that you only get to play opponents who start all bronze level pitchers and no supercharged hitters too?
That would be good too! It would be nice if players were incentivized to play with lower-payroll teams via an efficiency bonus. For example, if you start a team with all bronze players, and you beat a team with all diamonds, then you get extra stubs/packs.
I played a streak of 5 games where at least 10 home runs were hit in each. All diamond dynasty games for ranks 400+ should be played on Hall of Fame difficulty! For experienced players, all-star difficulty with 99+ players is a bit of a joke. Pitching is impossible. If your PCI is anywhere close to the ball, it's a home run or double.
My co-op games keep crashing when I pick a bullpen pitcher…please fix!
I have been playing the show since 2006, this year's game is a ridiculous home run-fest. Pinpoint pitching is great, but it is nearly impossible to strike anyone out since PCIs are huge. Getting the PCI even close to the ball with a diamond player results in a home run almost every time. If a batter is way too early or way too late, it doesn't matter, it always results in a foul tip, never a swing and miss. This needs to be rebalanced.

A 9-inning single-elimination tournament mode where each round is one inning long. The winner of each game moves on to the next round (or inning) competing against another game's victor until the tournament winner is crowned. The 9 inning tournament would act as one game, where pitchers can lose stamina, and replacing a player would eliminate their eligibility. Batting orders would not restart after each round.
If a game is tied after one inning, overtime would start, granting each team alternating at-bats until the game is decided. Each successive overtime round would add one baserunner.
After a player is defeated, they can choose to continue watching the tournament through broadcast mode, or the players' selected views.
It would be neat if the PS5 could choose a new stadium for each round without loading, but if it couldn't, the tournament could take place in one stadium to ensure minimal loading between rounds.
