My Must-Haves To Purchase MLB The Show 26
  • sithlordslyther_MLBTSS sithlordslyther_MLBTS

While there are many things that need upgrades, additions, adjustments throughout the game both online and offline, I'll stick to the ones that I need to have if I am to purchase MLB the Show 26.

I put this here in the Franchise forum because I play Franchise Mode. I do so with fictional teams, created stadiums, and fictional rosters.

So here are the items that I must have something of in order to purchase next year's or any other following MLB the Show game:

    For Franchise
1 - Option for a Salary Cap and Floor system. This is a must-have for me.

2 - Expansion (MLB is already talking about it). This is more of, I'd buy the game if it happens.

3 - Ability to reformat the league (division and league names, realignment, choose between 2, 3, or 4 divisions). More of, I'd buy if it happens.

    For Uniform Creator
1 - Player names and numbers need to have the 'Screen' option the same way team logos/brands do. This is a must-have for me.

2 - Team Uniform Creator Vault. This is more of an I'd buy if it happens.

For Stadium Creator (along with making sure the Vault is working on Day 1)
1 - Bullpens off the field. This is a must-have for me.

2 - Options for retractable roofs and domes. This is a must-have for me.

3 - Wall windows need to be able to connect right next to each other like they used to. This is a must-have for me.

4 - Wall windows should have options for every type of fence or have a clear option that can blend into any fence.

5 - Fonts need number options. This is a must-have for me.

6 - Lasers or signage props that are connected to an ad logo option to have custom ads added to a park...and it should be able to be added to the wall. At this time, this is more of an I'd buy if it happens.

For me to purchase MLB the Show 26, I would need some of these 'must-haves' or, considering my type of usage mentioned above, I see no purpose.

Obviously, there are many other items needed for the game, but at this time, these are the ones I must have for 26 in order for me to buy in. Even though some are supportive tools, they affect immersion into the game in every mode. For me, that affects Franchise Mode.

Please make this happen. I want reasons to buy 26.

  • Two things I want to see added and fixed in MLB 26

For created uniforms, there is an item that needs fixing which is an eyesore. Player names and numbers need the 'Screen' option that is available for team logos/brands.

With the player names and numbers not having that option, in evening and night games, the colors of the names and numbers don't match the rest of the uniform. It's so off that it gives the uniform a look like a poorly constructed uniform from a bootleg fly-by-night uniform company that sold the team their errors on a discount. It disrupts some of the immersion for users in the game. Please fix this.

@Rangerman226490_XBL said in Two things I want to see added and fixed in MLB 26:

Two things I want to see in MLB 26:

    1. Bring back Sounds of the Show. The feature where you could bring in your own music to use in the game. Do it like y'all did on the previous generation consoles (for example the PS4) where you could assign your own imported songs to a team to play during homeruns, big hits, scored runs, in-between innings, and when the team wins.

    2. Stadium Creator. I want it not only fixed; but I also want it given a respectable update. Stadium Creator, in my opinion, was intentionally neglected in this year's edition of the game which resulted in tons of bugs and issues we didn't have in MLB 24. Also this year, we got no new props to use in creating stadiums. I sounded off about this at the beginning of the season, and I'm banging the pots and pans again now as we're five months away from MLB 26 coming out. This is what I want to see out of Stadium Creator going forward:
-1. Bullpens need to leave the surface of the field. No ballpark in baseball except for the Trop has bullpens on the field. I want the option to have bullpens beyond the outfield fence.
-2. The option to create a domed and/or retractable roofed ballpark needs to be there. The tool has been around for five years now, it's way past time for that ability to be available.
-3. Signage, wall markers, and LED boards on the outfield walls. Again, everyone in the stadium creator community, including myself, are getting tired of looking at the blank walls. We want better outfield wall customization options.
-4. We need more memory. And the capacity limit needs to be done away with too. That's unrealistic and everyone's stadium capacity varies. Do away with the capacity limit and give us more memory to work with.
-5. A completely revamped prop menu. There are 30 active ballparks in baseball and several former ballparks in the game that can be picked from. There should be stuff from every ballpark that exists in the game in that props menu. I'm referring to: light towers; scoreboards; flags; billboards; even the stands (which I'll get to in a minute). I should have at least 40 different scoreboard options and at least 40 different light tower variations to work with from each ballpark in the game.
-6. We need more realistic seating decks. Look around at each stadium in the game. There's not a lot of seating in the outfield. We need more realistically-sized seating deck options.
-7. The outfield wall dimensions and the ominous red line of doom known as the "prop too close to the field" message. Target Field has a deck that hovers over the playing field surface. Police it to a limit or set a certain distance a prop can overhang onto the field and let us have props/decks hanging over the field of play. Same goes with the field dimensions themselves. Quit punishing us for customizing the outfield wall height and distances manually by making it ineligible for online play.
My solution, set a minimum and maximum distance you can move the wall to and allow that created ballpark with manually set dimensions to be eligible for online play.

Whether this is achieved right off the bat, or through a series of updates throughout the season, I would like to see these two things addressed and made better in MLB 26.

Agreed with Rangerman 100% And there are other fixes that are needed for us that enhances the experience for all of the modes when these areas are addressed.

I'd love a year-to-year save for franchise seasons, but also supproting features like the rosters and players in the vault, and maybe even a special vault for created teams the same way logos and created stadiums are available forever in the Vault.

For Franchise Mode, they need to address some of the supporting tools with certain things as follows:

Stadiums Creator needs bullpens off the fields and options for retractable roofs or domes.

Uniform Creator needs to offer the 'Screen' option for player names and numbers. They have this for the team logos/brand, but not player names and numbers to the point that, in night games, the colors don't match and can never be matched unless selecting to have the team logo/brand to be shiny, which makes it dark and does not match the rest of the uniform.

Fixing these sort of supporting tools help get users like myself immersed better into the game.
