It's not even about the specific patch at all, it's about ...

-the entire 2 months of TERRIBLE communication with their player base
(example):
Server goes down for 8+ hours, not one word from any of the social media platforms, not one word about anything while still advertising game content during said down time. (I know they have scheduled tweets, that does not excuse 0 social media response)

Carter, Rodriguez, Bench all suppose to have Pop Time Quirk as of 6/22/21.
Well...
Here it is 6/26/21 and that patch has still not taken effect.
Not sure what you guys are doing at SDS but it sure isn't what you SAY you are doing... clearly....
Your inability to convey the most basic information to your customers will cause next years sales to tank.
On top of that, the information you say is not even CORRECT...
Some may not care, however some of us DO care about the quality of service we get.
I personally will not purchase your product again.

yea same for past 20 mins, all online modes .... BR / Ranked / Event

Using the "turn cross play off" option from in game on MLB the Show 21 does NOT work. You must go into your consoles settings and change it there. That's why I gave you the long walkthrough, trust me it works. I only play Xbox players if I have it off.

Settings --> Online safety & family --> Privacy & online safety --> Xbox privacy --> View details & customize --> Communication & multiplayer --> From here you can navigate your multiplayer / cross player options on your console.... now this walkthrough is for Xbox, no clue how the setup on Playstation is.

I really enjoy playing this game. However, if batters are going to be rewarded with this much of a safe net then playing this game on All-Star or lower difficulty is actually just not worth your time. This contact swing nonsense has made BR and the Event essentially unplayable unless you want to randomly roll the dice on the outcome. Sure, I get it, we all can contact swing.... but at some point it just becomes unplayable and not enjoyable for me.... is anyone else having similar experiences.....

he's not cheating you. It's a bug that's been happening since launch. I recorded the first time it happened to me.

He didn't do anything to initiate the freeze off. He was in the same situation as you. He just didn't quit. No need to make him out to be the bad guy when it's clearly a connection issue and a game issue not a player base issue....

Are you attempting to use "The Big Train" archtype? For whatever reason that one is currently bugged. There is however a workaround. Simply make a 2nd loadout with any other Relief pitcher archtype. Load that one as your primary and activate it on the right side of screen, then you can select him as a RP. If you want him as a starter, load a starter archtype, it can even be just bronze, you're not loading the 2nd archtype to actually use it, you're loading it to allow you to select your CAP at the roster location of your choice. Once you've selected the loadout that will allow him to appear in the roster spot you want, you can then go to your player and load the archtype you WANT to use and it will still have him in the DD roster spot you chose.

Leveled it to diamond, able to use it in RTTS, unable to load it to Diamond Dynasty.
Can load all other builds, SP , SS , LF, 3rd , 1st etc, but it will not allow you to load your CP build.
I have tried deleting all other loadouts and having CP build as default.
I have exhausted every option available and it will not let me select CP.
Says same error every time. ( No valid loadouts found for the position )

Still having the same issue 15+ days later, so it's not just you , the whole system is having an issue with that specific loadout.
