    infield diving animation…
  • ShaepzTV_PSNS ShaepzTV_PSN

Been that way for years. The masses are just barely starting to notice it for some reason though so I'm sure they'll go through and get a fix when the content creators get upset about it and start making videos about it.

  • Swing Feedback Changing?
  • ShaepzTV_PSNS ShaepzTV_PSN

Anyone else noticing swing feedback changing the ball location/swing timing/etc?
Thought it was just a fluke the other day. Had a perfect/perfect linedrive that went foul and when I made contact, it popped up in the corner "perfect/perfect." After the foul ball animation was done, the swing feedback said "early." I was like 🤔🤔🤔 hmmm okay.
But then today it happened again just a little bit differently.
Swung at a changeup inside that initial feedback right off the bat said I got under it and was early. (It was just barely off the plate inside and I'd dropped my pci a little too low. The ball was in the middle-right square to my lefty batter). Ball ended up being a weak grounder to first base. After my next batter comes up, the swing feedback for the last batter is still there and suddenly the ball is under the bottom-right inside square and my pci was above the ball and I topped it 🤔🤔🤔 Which couldn't be right because I very clearly remember it being up in the middle of the zone just off the plate to the right while the pitch was coming in and in that spot on the initial feedback and nowhere near below the strike zone….
Now I'm thinking if our inputs even matter or if things are being "changed" to fit the narrative of the outcome even if it is pretty rare. 🤔🤔🤔

it's hard to practice BP on legend offline when even those timing windows and pitch speeds are slower than All Star online. The complete randomness of the pitch speeds is what's causing the issues. One fastball can come in on a timing window of 100mph one pitch of the at bat and two pitches later it can come in at a 85 mph timing window. And both can say 94 mph on the screen. It's completely random and if that was their way of trying to make the game harder for everyone, they've done a terrible job at trying to implement it. I don't think people are whining just to whine, there's very clear evidence of a lot of the issues in the game. I've played very little RS in fear of losing to some BS randomness. Only played 14 games so far and I'm 14-0 so I'm not complaining to just complain. I think we all just want a consistent game and not so much randomness in an online skill based game.

First thing, the only people I see complaining are players with less than eye popping numbers. If you’re name was say cardinalbird5 or Koogs or any of the other elite tier players then I might give a second thought but it’s not. I have not had these issues that a select few are complaining about. I’m hitting like .400 online and fielding just fine. Yes I’ve committed a few more errors than say last year and that’s because I wasn’t locking onto fly balls that were 30 ft from me once they were about to hit the ground. Then I realized that that was the point of this year was to penalize you for over correcting on routes and they said as much in their live streams leading up to the launch. Once I got used to not being babied on fly balls I was able to make the needed adjustments and actually haven’t had any issues since. And to your point about the pitch speeds online that’s not worth my time. If you believe the pitch speeds on all star are faster online than legend offline you’ve completely lost all credibility. Maybe change your monitor. There is zero comparison between the two. Like I said, I practice on legend offline and hit just fine online.

I'm 14-0 in RS and batting over .420 or .430 lol. My fielding % is 1.000% so I have no complaints there. I don't know what eye popping numbers are to you but I'd say that's a pretty good batting average and fielding percentage. That's what's wrong with this community, they think the only opinions that have value are the players who can reach 1200 in RS. Like I said in the first comment, I'm not complaining just to complain. The timing window on Legend offline is waaaay better than All Star online and that's just a fact. To be able to play MTO on Legend+ difficulty hitting and be good timing on most swings but late or early on more than half the swings online on All Star difficulty isn't any issue other than something in the game.

  • FOTF Olson?
  • ShaepzTV_PSNS ShaepzTV_PSN

He's my best option. Only diamond I've pulled all year was Marte so I'm not doing too hot on stubs lol. But yes, the guy hits absolute tanks off righties and lefties. Diamond fielding allows him to make diving catches and stops on perfect/perfect liners with ease. He'll be my 1B for a while I think unless I fall into some stubs.

While agreeing with timing windows, I have been part of games where defense has gotten me the win. LUCKILY I haven't been one of the ones having issues. Haven't dropped any flyballs yet, only got "stuck" trying to get a guy out in a pickle once. (Players standing on 2nd and 3rd weren't allowed to chase the runner for some reason and they were standing behind the bag so of course they missed the tag), so I can't really comment on fielding from any personal issues, but I do understand the frustration a lot of people are having. However, 19 was waaaay more broken the first couple months. Seems like everyone forgot that we couldn't even catch balls near any of the warning tracks.

I can agree on the timing window issue. Something definitely seems off for online play. One pitch to the next it seems completely random. Swinging at 93 mph fastballs like they're coming in at 103 or 83 just isn't right
