You need internet to play DD.

Either way, with 2022 almost finished I wouldn't spend much to upgrade to X version. Unless maybe you can get it for 10 bucks.

The Series X version is on sale for $10 at Best Buy right now. I actually bought a copy yesterday since I know it will probably come off of Game Pass when the new game comes out just like 21 did.

Man, I didn't think about it being delisted. Maybe I should pick it up digitally on sale right now.

Edit: So I see MLB The Show 21 is still available for purchase. Do these games eventually get delisted entirely, or just removed from Xbox? For example, Forza games tend to have limited licenses for cars and music, so they get taken off the store entirely after a couple of years. I'm sure I'll like the next edition and hope it's on Xbox, but if I don't or wanna play my old RTTS character I might wanna buy 22 permanently.

I think the oldest MLB The Show game listed on the Playstation store is 19. 17 and 18 were both on PS4, so its not like they were delisted for being from the 360/PS3 gen. If I had to guess, they might delist them as the servers go down since 18 can no longer be played online. You probably have a few years before it comes off the online store.

Thanks. I may just pick it up for $17 right now. It looks like MLB the Show 21 isn't going on sale anymore, and there's no guarantee 23 will be on Game Pass (unless MLB demands Playstation put it on the service). Since I just got the game on Switch and am really enjoying the cloud save function to play on both systems, I may as well ensure I can do that going forward.

  • Is there a way to switch A and B on the Switch for navigating?
  • SaintSalieri_MLBTSS SaintSalieri_MLBTS

I don't believe there's any button remapping in the game. Switch has system level button remapping, but this would change the buttons for all games, and not just for navigation.

  • Question about Nintendo Switch jump/dive controls
  • SaintSalieri_MLBTSS SaintSalieri_MLBTS

I play this game on Xbox but just bought it to play handheld on Switch. I started a new RTTS, and this time I'm playing outfield. I turned off "one button jump/dive" but the controls interface still says only R will jump or dive. I assume it's contextual. However, I'd prefer to have separate buttons, and every website that lists the game's controls online says there should be two separate buttons. Since I played infield in my last RTTS, I didn't really have to use these buttons, but I wanna know how to jump if a ball is about to go over the fence. Is there a setting I'm overlooking?
