Example:
Position player loadout with Slugger/power archetype - 62 OVR (plays 3 games a month in the field)Swapping a Velocity pitching archetype into my position player loadout - OVR jumps to 78 and am in more games but now my offensive attributes are severely weakened

OVR rating seems to be what determines playing time and depth chart since a high durability hasnt helped (I get max 20 games as position player a season). And for 2 way players the OVR rating seems to factor in BOTH position player and pitcher attributes, which is counterintuitive for my position player specific loadouts because the non-boosted pitching categories are tanking my OVR and thus I get less playing time as position player.
In other words, if I seemingly want more playing time and higher overall I need to boost pitching attributes even on my position player loadout in order to get more games in the field.
Definitely not ideal because it prevents creating an optimal offensive loadout and the vicious cycle of less playing time = less xp chances = less playing time

Just here to add that equipment boosts aren't working again (Overall rating went from mid 70s down to 60 after last update, and fastball potential as seen in player card dropped from 97 to 87).
Have tried deleting and recreating loadouts but it's always stuck at 60 Overall as boosts arent applying
