It seems like there should be a collect monthly Zimmerman card somewhere that once locked in would let you unlock stage 2
This!

I finished Zimmerman (25 points), but the Corbin missions/moments are locked. How did someone get him (or is it just the moments that are locked and you can do the missions?).
Once again, a complete lack of play testing even the simplest things by SDS.
Idk if this is true, but maybe the non moment stats?
That'd seem weird to have to get 25 points from the non-moment stats. Doing it that way would have you nearly acquiring Corbin before doing any of his missions.
In this boat as well. Says "must complete stage 1" which I did. I did 25 points from moments and one mission.

It’s easier for little Billy to hit when the game serves your pitches down the middle for him.
I’m not being sarcastic, this is literally the answer.
So you think SDS is intentionally pushing pitches to the middle through coding?
Why else would it be happening? They made the game, they know how to fix it if it’s broke but since they haven’t even acknowledged it...only leaves room that it’s by design to help players hit. More than likely directional hitters.
I don't believe they're intentionally messing with pitching, but it certainly needs some tweaking.

Anyone else struggling with pitch accuracy? I have been using diamond pitchers and my controls are analog. I routinely will get good inputs, and the ball is somehow inches higher or lower in the zone to be absolutely hung. It then gets deposited over the fence and I'm left wondering what's the point.
If there's going to be the much fluctuation after getting good inputs with solid command arms, why does what the user is doing even matter?

I can pretty much guarantee nobody in the higher levels uses directional.. that tells you everything
Yeah, figured as much. Time to slow down and do some more pre-game BP I think.
@Rambo_11k said in Is Hitting This Hard?:
Directional, wait for the game to serve you pitches down the middle (regardless of where your opponent is trying to put them) you’ll get quite a few to crush every game.
I've never done anything but zone. Is everyone really using directional this year?
I have been a regular CS player with a WS appaearance often sprinkled in over the past three years. I blitzed to Pennant Race this year losing just one game.
Now I can't seem to hit to save my life. More frustrating is I'll have opponents flailing all game, then all of a sudden they'll hit three random solo shots and I'm done.
What do I need to do? More practice before games? Slow down? What in the world?!
