..but I shouldn't feel like I'm playing one nearly as often as I do this year. The supernatural CPU defense is bad enough, but it's made even worse by the fact that my own defenders can't do the same thing. The disparity between the CPU and the player on any difficulty constantly reminds me that I'm not playing a baseball simulation at all; I'm playing a baseball video game, no different from RBI Baseball or Super Mega Baseball outside of the graphics.

The unrealistic aspect is that every scrub common-fielding defender is 2001 postseason Derek Jeter, when even Derek Jeter wasn't 2001 postseason Derek Jeter the majority of the time.

At this point I'd be satisfied with existing features not bugging out. I'm tired of completely losing all training and clubhouse/rivalry options barely 1-2 months into my guy's career.

Well, since it's December and this still happens with every RTTS player I start, I'd say they either gave up or don't care. GG, SDS.
