I was ended up with Mookie in mine, which was the 2nd time I pulled him (last time he was in the 40K range), so I was able to sell him today for a good bit of stubs.

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS As others have said, the app is running real slow this morning (8am EST). It can take 15 to 20 seconds to move between screens, so for example, just pulling up duplicate cards and trying to sell one of them can take close to a minute.
The website has also been slow this morning, so I'm not sure if that is also contributing to the app running slowly.
Psy
@TheGoaler_PSN Save programs from the last inning that they finish once the new inning drops and more than likely playing at the higher difficulty level that pays out better.
Psy
I earned the boss pack and one wheel spin. I could have had a few more wheel spins, but I saved the HOF program and conquest map (only have one more stadium to beat for completion) for the 6th Inning.
I'm a completely offline player, and the only inning I didn't earn the boss pack was the 2nd, but I was also on an 11-day cruise during that inning, so I didn't expect to earn it. With that said, there have been innings, that getting to the boss pack has been a pain and others (4th & 5th) that were easier for me to complete.
Psy
Well, it looks like not selling some of my gold dups paid off, since I now have multiple copies of each of the new diamonds.

@Oliver230230230_PSN Best guess is that they lifted the restrictions, so the bots are back to take over the market.
There are still bots when the restrictions are enabled, but they are not as aggressive as they are now, nor are the margins as depressed.
Psy
@DrBear100_PSN I agree that if the player base was told the rules on the cool down period, it would lower the number of complaints. The issue would be that the bot makers would then know how to program them to get around the restriction. With the restriction being random, it is harder for bots to avoid getting caught.
Psy
@PORTER0040_PSN Trust me when I say that I'm not trying to defend SDS. There have been lots of issues with this year's release that hasn't been fixed yet, that I don't have any confidence in them to fix. Sorta like in 2025, that the 3rd base coach was always wearing a jacket that was never fixed.
I'm just trying to point out that people need to pick their poison when it comes to the various solutions. As I don't feel that any of the obvious solutions will make the majority of the player base happy.

Since the 20 order cap and the greatly reduced number of roster updates have already killed investing, killing flipping as well would be another nail in the NMS coffin.
What they need to do is figure out a way to stop bots that doesn't harm humans. But easier said than done. The market was fine from 2021-2025, I don't understand how bots got so bad in one year, but what do I know?
So you know, I'm also a NMS player, besides buying the game and the Robinson pack, I don't spend any other money and earn my stubs by selling dups and the few you get playing offline.
For me, I flipped from 2021 to 2022, using the website. I didn't flip in 2023, as it was harder to find margins worth doing it. I then started using the app in 2024 to sell my duplicates. I feel the market started going down in 2024 when they started making changes to the QS values.
In my opinion the reason why the bots are a bigger issue this year is that the emulators being used to run the bots have gotten better. As the tech has improved, the ability of the bots to thrive has also improved.
I also agree that doing transactions on the console are a pain, but that might be the only solution.
Psy
@Gary-Hoggatt_PSN Trust me I understand.
It is just as I see it and I've posted the same thing in other threads, is that: a) they keep the app and remove the restrictions and the bots run the market, b) they keep the app, put transaction limits like now (4 transactions every few minutes), which makes things harder for the bots (won't remove then completely), but slows down everyone or c) remove the market from the app and website and make all market transactions have to be done via the console.
None of the above choices are great and each one has a major drawback that part of the player base will complain about being unfair or wrong, if it happens.
We are seeing it now. First, it was complaining that the bots are ruining the market and people can't place orders because the bots have taken over. Now it is people upset with the timeouts that do help control the bots, since they can't adjust or place unlimited orders in a short amount of time.
Just image what would happen if they make the market console only.
Psy
@Gary-Hoggatt_PSN I've not had any issues this morning selling my duplicates and most have been selling for way more than QS value. Granted I've only started working on my commons, but the sell prices haven't been close to the QS value like they have in the past.
I've not flipped cards in years and only sell my duplicates now, so how I look at the market, might not be how someone who flips cards looks at the market. So, for how I'm currently using it. The restrictions seem to be working, since I'm selling them for more than I would get selling them at their QS value.
Psy
@Gary-Hoggatt_PSN Just wait a few minutes, and it should work again for a few transactions. You just can't dump a ton of transactions on the market in a short amount of time any longer.
Psy
@samguenther1987_PSN Except that it does hinder the bots, they run into the same restrictions as everyone else and can only do a few transactions every few minutes. Which is why the margins widen and the market has flowed better after an app update. It takes the bot makers a bit to do and push out adjustments.
Psy
@GiantYankees_XBL You just have to space out your transactions. If you attempt to do a bunch all at once and I mean more than 4 (I'm guessing) it is going to restrict you for a few and then allow you to do more.
As I stated in another thread, it is pick your poison, you can either have a) Bots taking over the market and no restrictions, b) restrictions on the number and how quickly you can place orders that help slow down the bots or c) the market gets remove from the app and you are stuck using the console for all transactions.
None of the above are great choices, but that is what we have.
Psy
@GiantYankees_XBL Pick your poison, restrictions that slow you down after a few transactions or having the bots in the market that kill the margins and make buying and selling a pain.
The other option is to completely remove the ability to do market transactions from the app.
Psy
@TripleH-4481_PSN My best guess that it would remove the majority of the bots, since they use an emulator to run the app on a PC. If you remove the market from the app, that removes the main way that the bots can access the data.
Which is why every time there has been an update to the app, the bots seem to go away or slow down, until they get updated to work within the new parameters and the market slowly goes back to being terrible.
They would more than likely also need to remove the market from the website, since people can use macros/scripts/automation tools to mess around with the market, but the website at least has the captcha to slow things down somewhat.
Psy
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN No you should not have to.
Psy
@NWOStunna_PSN Nope. I know that when playing last night, I was just earning the normal amount of XP.

I ended up with Egg Hunt Betts, which I needed.
