Hi, I created a new pitcher and want to see how high draft position I can get and then random team. My issue is I go to the 1st combine and hit all pitches and they love me. First game, I pitch 6 innings, 5 strikeouts, no hitters and 2 walks. Next scene, my agents comes on and says I didn't do well at the combine and I get drafted in the 14th round. ??? What am I missing?
I just created 3 pitchers and it happened to each of them. I kill the combine but get picked in very late rounds, one was like 18th. I know the combine doesn't really do anything but I want to break into the top 5 at least. I pitch great and I play all star setting.
Any ideas?

Hi, I get tired of RTTS with trades so I also play in Franchise so I can control the team. I created a Right Fielder for the first time. The issue is that after 1 season, I didn't get even 1 fly ball or pop up. I get linedrives and grounders hit through the infield. I have had HR's and maybe 3 off the wall. But never just a pop fly. Is there a setting or something? It can't be what plays I see - set for impact. Are they saying no one hits flyballs to right field? I do get to make monster throws to 3rd, so that is fun. But no fly balls? Just wondering. It also happens if I take over a regular player. Also, when I pitch, they to right a lot. What can be going on?

I just started a Right fielder for the first time. I've played a whole season, AA,AAA then called up in Aug for Pirates . I have not had 1 fly ball for a catch out the whole season. Just wondering

Hi, this has sort of been asked but the answers didn't fit, at least by what I could find. I just started an outfielder. I can't hit the succession of buttons they make you press now. A random combination of 5 buttons in a short amount of time. I never have thrown anyone out yet. Yes, I should be able to with practise but my eyes are rough to see the symbols. It also happens sometimes with infield if it's a fast/long throw. So, how can I switch it to the timing button press like in Franchise or even the target bullseye one like infield? I don't just want to throw it to the base button setting or auto. Is it possible?

One other issue when I do get to call the pitch. The pitch is always wild and never a strike. I'm in my 2nd year and I do get to call pitches at least every game. It just never works out:) Usually a wild pitch in the dirt, a FASTBALL upper right, in the dirt???

Also, swings from right and left sides for animations.

I like it. I don't play DD, just RTTS & Franchise. A season can go fast because you play the whole series without having to jump out to save, Franchise you play one ata time. I play every game in minors. I like the play, catcher was really updated. Announcers get old real quick. I play usually 2 seasons every game. Going for the awards & titles. Then I usually only play the first game of a series unless it's a good one for me. Mariners verses Blue Jays:) CONS: Talking to agent for a trade is rough. Your team will make really dumb trades and that might ruin the play for you, even with the trades slider down. Yes, I wish I could carry over a player to the next years game. PRO: After you grind out say a catcher, you can carry over your skills/rewards to the new player. This allows you to jump to say 75-80 overall and get through the minors faster, even just simulating games until called up. The. I turn off the skill levels if I want and play lower skill sets, better for competition.

Not sure what others think but I like that stuff. I miss the recaps that happened after any game played. Good pitching or hitting would be mentioned plus what else happened in the league. Not sure why they removed it for this year. They had at least something for those of us that play the individual games a lot.

Thanks for reply. What if I set Manager Tasks control for 40 man-roster, Lineup and Roster moves to AUTO but keep Trades,Free Agency ect manual. Then there wouldn't be any trades unless I accepted them or initiated them, correct? I think this would give me a RTTS type experience but control roster if needed. Ideas?

So, RTTS has been frustrating because of insane player trades, and the amount of them. BTW, I love RTTS. I don't play DD. Anyways, just wondering what I'll miss if I start a player in Franchise and play it locked. I understand about stat progression and all, not worried about that. My questions is this, If I start a rookie in AA and play all the AA games only, and play games in lock mode, will he progress through to AAA and then to team? I didn't want to spend a bunch of time playing for no reason, I'd just start him in the majors. I like having roster control and trades if needed but leave my player total to auto. I know it will go slower because I have to stop after each game. I don't care about that. Lastly, if I make say MVP, will it show up next year in some way? Okay, that's it:)

Hi, not sure if even possible, I can't find it. Can you add your custom team logo to your stadium design on walls etc? Like graphic/name on warmup circles or pitchers mount? I know I can add text to walls or signs, just wondering if I can make it more my created team logo design.

Sorry, I just got my PS5 and updated game. I know I can't load custom music with PS5 version. My player sounds have a slots for Cheers & Yells as well as Walkups & HR Music ect. How do you load cheers, or can't you? Curious why they have slots for it if you can't use them. Sorry if answered before, couldn't find anything searching.

Is there any way to restart a position/player with beginning stats? My 2nd base player is in the 7th year. I wanted to start a whole new player. I deleted my old 2nd base player and created a new player. When I started RTTS with him, he was an OVL 98. All my stats were from the old player. I understand gear and such but why stats? I can't build a new position after deleting the old position player? I want to go through the building stats, not start as the best player already. Thanks for any help in this.

For those of us with PS4's, what is a good stadium to choose without a lot of team icons all over it? Field of Dreams is there but only holds 8000. What do most use?

If you created a player, you are set. All you do is RIGHT CLICK on the RTTS button in the bottom left. Select NEW and just follow the prompts. It will eventually ask if you want to choose a team or let the program randomly pick one.It will do it's thing and you'll find yourself in the locker room of your team and start playing in AA.

Okay, hope this makes sense. I started a catcher and like it. Worked my way up and called up in Sep. 2nd game, 4th inning my screen changed to behind the plate and program wanted me to call the pitch. I thought, this is cool. So I did. Next batter, 3 pitches and hit a single. 3rd batter, still calling pitches. On 2nd pitch, runner on 1st stole. Threw him out. Screen changed and I was batting. I never went back to calling the game. I'm in my 2nd season and still no opportunities to call pitches. So.... What happened? Was this just a strange occurrence or did I trigger something to make it happen? I'd like to call them some more here and there. Any ideas?

Just wondering, has anyone heard why the announcers don't use the pitchers name? Except at the intro. He says Big Righty/Lefty and/or Righty. They say my toons name at intro but never during the game.
-
Then it worked! That's Mad Dog. Also, the payoff is watching him eat his words when you make it and then start excelling in the majors:) I think his dialog is used brilliantly. Finally, an announcer/analyst giving us [censored] until we prove ourselves. Yes, I do watch High Heat daily:)

I don't understand why not implement what they have already to help RTTS. For example, in Franchise, after every game, there is a breakdown of your game and special highlights. I got a no-hitter and they went nuts over it. That seems it would be easy to implement because it is there already. If there was a dialog that acknowledged what you did in your previous game. I got a no-hitter in RTTS and the next game I pitched, nothing. In fact, they said I struggled:) I win rookie of the year & gold glove and no mention of it the next year or other awards. How about an acknowledgment of big games. Also, why in the world would they allow trades, of no value, with top players in the first few months? Yes, it is a very boring story line but I still love RTTS for the challenge. Setting up a player in Franchise just isn't the same. So, RTTS really needs some love from the designers but my point is that a lot of changes that could be implemented are already built into the game with Franchise & March to October dialog.
