last post because it is just pathetic and sad at this point.
These are the best pitchers in the world and 50-75% of the pitches thrown in game are balls...literally none of these people have ever watched baseball.
On the highest difficulty I see at best 2 pitches even remotely near the zone.
Full disclosure I am an Xbox player and a lifelong baseball fan and a former player. I was super excited for the release of the game on Xbox so it is mostly my disappointment and displeasure with the game.(I pre-ordered the JR edition to play early)
Obviously the servers were an issue I left out but it is honestly palpable to say this is just an underestimation by San Diego Studios to me it seems obvious that it is just that the developers and production teams were lazy. The fact the don't respond to any criticism and have yet to address any concerns about their game is proof of that.
All aspects of the game are turning into their own minigames.
I have not noticed any difference in the swing types except that the only one that seems to have any form of consistency is the A/X Swing.
Pitch speeds just don't make sense an 80-85 mph slider takes 3 full seconds to reach the plate and doesn't break properly (even with Diamond Break secondary perk that I have equipped multiple pitches do not seem to function like they do in real life) I used to throw a slider that would break 8-10 inches to the outside part of the plate. The 12-6 and KCRV are jokes both of those pitches just look like eephus lobs over the plate.
The servers being so terrible is what is not making the stats translate, for me most of my games make no progress towards missions or challenges.
I am still going to play just hoping they make significant changes
Not sure if anyone at SSDS ever played Baseball or talked to anyone who has.
Pitches don't follow proper mechanics and pitching and batting is inconsistent. (slider and changeup are the same pitch)
Power/contact swings are pointless wastes of button mapping.
Challenges and perks are broken and stats do not qualify after finishing a game in RTTS or DD.
The only things realistic about this game are the graphics and the players.
