There's one issue that's driving me crazy and really needs fixing. Many times my player leads off from first base and the pitcher makes a pick-off attempt, there's a major flaw in the animation logic. If the pitcher overthrows the first baseman, the ball almost always hits the first base coach!

Instead of the ball sailing into foul territory or the outfield — which should give my runner a real shot at advancing — it just smacks the coach and drops dead. It totally kills the realism and eliminates a key opportunity to turn a mistake into an extra base.

Devs, please relocate the first base coach or tweak the collision detection! Either move them further into foul territory or make them non-collidable so they don’t interfere with live plays like this. It's a small detail, but it has a big impact on gameplay.

Anyone else seeing this?

I'm on PS5. I noticed yesterday on a second account that I haven't played since launch, is not effected at all????

All the settings are exactly the same in both accounts! The outfielder on the second account is completely normal.
I played for over an hour and had a few dive catches, wall jumps to rob home runs and standard pop ups/fly balls! Very strange!!!

It's basically all the outfield positions now are boring and repetitive! I've got a LF character that has played an entire season without one QTE!

I’ve been a longtime fan of MLB The Show (since 2006), especially the Road to the Show mode. But after the last few updates in MLB The Show 25, I’ve got to say—playing as an outfielder has become painfully boring. It feels like they’ve stripped all the challenge and variety out of it.

In previous versions, there were more exciting, high-pressure situations—diving catches, wall climbs, bringing back home runs and those tense moments where one mistake misjudging a bounce off the wall could cost your team the game. Now it’s the same few plays over and over. No variety, no thrill—just endless routine ground balls and very few fly balls.

I have one left fielder that played an entire AAA season without a single dive play! WTF!!!!

I used to love the unpredictability and intensity of the outfield role. Now it’s like watching paint dry. What happened to the dynamic, immersive experience?
I've stopped playing until the game is better!

The mechanics of the defensive position at 1st base are horrible!
I played this position many times in the past on MLB The Show since 2006. The defensive plays are so repetitive, they are so predictable it is painful to play! Runners on 1st and 2nd almost always guarantees a hard ground ball up the middle every time!
There are basically only three scenarios you will face, hard grounder to the left or up the middle and a double play, very rarely does the batter hir a grounder to third. NOT once during an entire season did the pitcher attempt a pick-off move!
I played an entire season and only threw out a runner at home plate...twice!
The only why to achieve a decent defensive player is to sacrifice all the tokens you earn into fielding and throwing!

Several times I've noticed that after swinging, my PCI shows it hasn't moved from the preset location in the small window in the bottom left hand corner but I know I've moved my bat during the swing!

I gotten this prompt only once and it wasn't pretty! I miss the old baserunning sliding mechanics!
