@sandule said in Why is there no sense of urgency:
I have seen it pointed out by a lot people on these forums that SDS don't care about everyone that pays for the base game! They care about dropping new content for the DD crowd, as those are the guys who spend the most money!
It's strange to me. Everyone has to buy the game regardless of if they play DD or not! You would think that they would be at least paying for a minimum viable product.
If they spent 1/10th of the time they spend on new content on game play, this game would be incredible. But unfortunately this is the price of no competition!
I personally think that fixing 3 things would make this game perfect:
Fix fielding (that includes player urgency, ridiculous diving catches by the cpu players with [censored] ratings and the 1 million balls caught while crashing into the outfield fence. Those are supposed to be rare plays that only great defensive players usually make and I swear they happen 3 times per game.
Fix Pitching. SDS need to find a better way to make user input matter more. I can't count how many times I have hit the pitching marker right on and my pitcher still hangs pitches.
Fix hitting consistency! I hit very well in this game so I am not complaining but to be honest it's very inconsistent. Again I can't count how many times I have hit the ball on the mark and its a weak fly ball or on the other hand, how may HR's I have hit when the ball is not even in the PCI marker! Way too inconsistent. Also I find when playing the CPU, it's not very realistic. They take pitches right down the middle and then hit HR's on Change Ups in the dirt! I mean it happens, but it's rare and not the norm.
All of this
