Jun 13, 2024, 7:17 AM@DuboBrew - You need 4x the amount of fans their stronghold has. Attacking 24 with 99 should have had a Rookie option (24x4=96). But attacking the 27 would only offer Veteran and higher for difficulty. Try your best not to let them get to 25 if you're aiming for Rookie. When they're above 25, I often have to surround their stronghold with hexagons of 10+ each. Then inevitably on the CPU's turn they will try to attack your hexagons surrounding them to lessen your numbers. But it always brings down their number too. If they attack those enough, you can eventually attack with a Rookie option when their number falls below 25. (Assuming a 99 attack)

@platewelder_363 Yes you're right. They had this in last year's game.

I've seen this too, but I noticed that you REALLY have to know the batter's hitting attributes. The more situational Quirks they have, the more likely they will get a hit.
So in addition to just watching the CLT & PCLT each at bat, watch especially for Quirks like Fighter, Pressure Cooker, Day Player, Night Player, Homebody, Road Warrior, etc. If the batter comes up with several Quirks that match the situation, I swear the boost is enormous. Once I figured it out, I started issuing automatic walks to them and then winning by beating the next batter without all the situational boosts.

@yankblan Yeah, right after I posted here, the market went down temporarily and so I go online to complete some transactions. And what do you know... the universe says BAM! you were wrong when I saw a captcha come up.

Apr 25, 2024, 9:33 PMYes, what @SMB-Freebird says is correct.

@TXRaider78 I've never seen a captcha and I've never heard anyone else mention it. It's likely a config issue on your end.
I assumed the missing legends were due to them being complete dirt bags like racism, misogyny, etc. and our current social climate having zero tolerance on that stuff. Last, I was surprised to recently learn that Topps Now is based on an actual baseball card line in real life. You are absolutely right about the move towards pay to play. Someone can literally buy-in to get the best cards. I don't really have issues with that, it's just not something I'll be doing.

Forgot to mention...yes it's just like creating a Diamond Dynasty team but you just have the roster of the team you chose.
-

You just choose a team and then design your details, logos, etc. It lets you save the custom team, so you could create several different ones and just quickly choose later on. You keep the roster of the team you're "replacing" but they just have the team name, uniforms, etc. in games. So the changes are only aesthetic.

@tigerzbrownz If you're on a console with Stadium creator, search for Ebbets Field and Tiger Stadium. I've seen pretty accurate builds for both.

@JDHalfrack No I don't think you're in the minority. 23 was the best version I've seen as an Xbox player only playing for a few years now. And it also kept me playing right up until this launch.

@Sarge1387 Hmm interesting. I never thought about it, but I guess it makes sense that equipment, etc. would also follow the slow creep method as updates come out.

@nymets1987 Or any other mode at all. It's probably too early for us to jump to conclusions and get upset right away. The game and the seasons structure are totally different this year, so we can't really compare without getting into math calculation conversations.
Let's not all forget how well SDS took all of our feedback and how much they implemented to improve. Let's not say we were wrong yet.

@Blind_Bleeder
Yeah But: Player created stadiums aren't preloaded into the game content, so we have to upload to attach them to our downloaded version of the game.
But Also: I have no idea how easy or difficult it would be to program the automatic download/upload of a new stadium into the preload screen seamlessly.

@Sarge1387 I noticed that the season length seems a little longer this year. Perhaps that's playing into it? I haven't searched this to confirm, but it seems like maybe with the 4 new Wild Card slots this year, there might only be 4 seasons.
So think of not having to grind 650k-1M in those extra seasons we had last year and maybe it's a wash? I don't know for sure, maybe we should look at how many hours we logged last year on 23 for comparison. I agree it feels a bit slower this year, but I also see 66 days still left for S1.
I'm at 117.5k XP about 2.5 weeks in, but I haven't been playing every day. When I do the math I'll finish at only around 575k. But I also haven't even touched Play vs CPU, anything online, or Franchise mode at all yet... we'll see.

Once you start being able to actually train, it will fall on your off days between different series in the season if you're a position player. You'll see 3 different training categories to choose from. Inside each of those is 3 different training options that give skill boosts ranging from hitting to fielding, strength, speed, etc.

This is an interesting take. I've never given a second thought to those short cut-scenes between innings. For me the best part is building out an entire stadium and adding those decorative touches to match whatever niche you're going for. I can't say I've ever even thought about the functionality and interaction of the crowds.
But yeah, custom foul territory would be nice. Or even just different template layouts for bullpens. Even if it was like the pre-made outfield wall templates, it would add a lot to the overall views and scenery.

@beanball0571 Completing the Negro League Storylines was far from a grind. You could unlock every card in one session. It was easy. It was more about educating people about the stories I think. Because I could not believe what I was seeing and hearing going through some of those stories. I had to look things up to be sure that it was actually true. I thought it was fantastic!

I've got 1,275 hours played this year and I'm somehow not that close either. About 93%.
