When are we finally getting Ebbets Field in this game? With all the attention paid to Jackie Robinson every year, doesn't it make sense to finally recreate his proper home ballpark?? Playing in Dodger Stadium for his missions always seems blasphemous for some reason.
I've heard it takes six months to render a new park for this game, so why not get on it now? There's no new real ballpark opening next year. Come on, SDS! Give us Ebbets Field! (Tiger Stadium would be nice too!)
I don't see the swing feedback for every swing like I used to in the past two games. What gives?
I agree that IP was a bit too much because the max you could get per game was 9 IP. But I enjoyed looking for an older player that had the attributes I needed to get the job done. In the case of HR's I just put say the best 3 or 4 power hitters in the lineup and I'd get the 15 Hr's needed after a few games. I just let it be. Doubles were obviously the worst though!
That's the kind of stuff I used to do in MLB 18. 'Oh, I need hits from the Cardinals, I need saves from the Rangers, I need HR's from the Mariners...'
Anyone else miss grinding for team stats like from The Show 18? (aside from doubles! ugh!!) I really liked grinding for hits and strikeouts and whatnot with players from different teams that I would never have used otherwise. Putting together a lineup and rotation/bullpen to meet the needed stats was really fun to me. I know there are a few teams stats to go after in the Team Affinity missions, but that's not the same to me. I wonder if any of the next stages will offer more team-wide stats to pursue.
Ebbets Field and Tiger Stadium used to be in the game a few years ago. With all due respect to Shibe Park and Griffith Stadium, those two should've been dropped instead of Ebbets Field or Tiger Stadium. They aren't nearly as iconic or remembered as where the Dodgers and Tigers played. This is one of my major gripes with this game. These two stadiums need to come back.
So what's the point of adding this year the ability to change your lineup and pitching rotation if once you're in a game it goes to whatever the default was to begin with?? Ok, maybe the simulated games carry your lineups/rotation, but I need them in my playable moments too! Kahnle is my closer over Chapman to start a tense moment late in the game, and then I can't take him out because of the ridiculous new pace of play rule (DO NOT GET ME STARTED!)? Or Aaron Hicks in the 3-hole when he should be lower in the lineup? Obviously I'm talking Yankees here, but I'm sure the same goes for many other teams too. This needs to be fixed!!
I've been saying they should bring back Tiger Stadium and Ebbets Field for years now. These are two classic and iconic baseball stadiums that the developers seemingly dropped for no reason. I'll gladly trade two minor league stadiums for Tiger Stadium and Ebbets Field! In fact they'd only need to trade one. Who needs old Turner Field? They're probably going to give us the old Rangers stadium too (whatever the hell it's called this week...).
