So stoked. Never made it in the past. Was at 880 going into this game and the guy started Blake Snell with that nasty delivery, and cheesed on top of it. Bunt-dancing, holding R2, stepping off after every pitch. Beat him 7-2 and jumped up t 902 to make it to the big time for the first time ever.

I realize that but it feels like meaningless grinding though and meaningless grinding for 20-30 more hours is not appealing at all.

If you’re playing on hall of fame and you’re throwing low curveballs..just stop lol. Easiest pitch to hit in the game. When you have a guy throwing 100, keep the fastballs coming.

Yup a lot of times I catch myself trying to get too cute with pitch variety. Sometimes all it takes is just throwing heaters all around the zone.

I will be ROLLING against an offense. Dotting pitches on the black, good mix up of locations and sequences with 2, maybe 3 pitches. But as soon as I try and get cute, throw in some slow breaker they haven’t seen in a while, I hang it. They bang it.

Rank in RS. Never been this high. 2 more games in a row and I’ll crack WS for the first time. Terrified to play and ruin this run

Just had to make this choice. Was torn between Sandberg and RJ. That lefty swing and hitting stats are incredible but I ended up taking RS to play at 3B, rather than having to move Sheffield to 3B and having 3 TERRIBLE defensive hitters (RJ, Sheff and Giambi).

idk how anyone else likes facing him, but I’m fine if I never see him again. I consider myself an above average player, I got a late jump on this season but I’m 20-2 and usually have no issue tracking pitches coming in after an inning or two. I lost my first two of the year earlier today bc of some DUMB base running mistakes (on me, not any programming). But when I tell you I couldn’t hit this Whitley card, I mean I had no clue what to do with that sinker. Couldn’t find the cadence to time it up, it was SNEAKY fast. If dude had just thrown that pitch down the middle all day, he probably would’ve shut me out and got the W.

Anybody else have trouble against FW?

I say yes. Especially with this year’s fielding. He will miss a lot of the throws to him.

None of them have 1B as a secondary.

Honestly, I don’t start Biggio or Sheffield. It’s weird have 99s come of the bench as a platoon, but that’s what I do. I start Alomar over Biggio. I use Biggio as a platoon in LF (secondary position) against LHP. I use Sheffield as a platoon with Reggie Jackson in RF or Ed Mathews at 3rd.

I would just use a real 1B there if I were you. I’m going to platoon Helton with this new Joe Carter at 1st.

If you have Biggio, that means you have Giambi. I would put him there.

Biggio absolutely rakes for me, so does sandberg so I’d like to keep them both in my lineup. And Sheffield is plenty serviceable for me, but I’m thinking about taking that Henderson card. I know kluber the meta, but I’m just thinking. And yeah, I’ve got the Giambi who absolutely murders RHP for me

Glad to here about Sandberg, that’s who I’m planning on taking at gold 1.

I thought I remember reading you made WS already. You got nothing to lose. Try it out for a bit. See if they can do it without playing stupid out there at first.

Ha not so long ago at the end of 19, I not only made Quash ragequit our BR game where he was 9-0, I also made him ragequit his stream. People messaged me telling me I should watch it back, because I never watch that dude and didn't even know he was streaming. It was hilarious, I was demolishing him and he got so pissed he just quit everything right then and there.
