I’m in a freeze off, the first one of all my years playing the show I am waiting out.

I’m currently 2-0 in BR, top 3 at shippett, losing 2-0 with 2 outs, 99 speed on 1st and 2nd with 99 clemente at bat (potm rizzo on deck) for me. My opponent has a WS emblem, but I’m confident enough in myself i can hit a home run at any time on all star regardless of my opponent.

Normally I would leave and not waste my time but I was already planning on getting off to go to bed and I’ve already committed about 30 minutes, any ideas on if I should wait it out or just accept i’m not going 12-0? lol

You say you're confident enough that you can hit a homerun, at any time, on AS regardless of your opponent; but yet it's the top of the third and you're down 2 runs.

How come you didn't hit that homerun with your other batters?

because it’s BR… not every ab can be a home run, not everyone’s a power hitter, pitchers are funky, pitch speeds are slower. I’m not saying I win every game either lol but i’ve lost one game in ranked all year on all star and have only done 3 other br runs😂

edit: i don’t play this game enough to be good either. i’m not calling myself good i have 18 games in ranked total but consistently made 800s last year

I would personally quit at 2-0 in a run if I'm down.

Usually same but with my best hitter I have the most confidence in my team and have a chance of winning fair is why I want to stay. If it continues until the next time I hop on I will probably quit.

But stay for what? It’s not coming back. The right thing to do is quit, but often times the right thing to do is lost on this community. Ultimately you have to do what you want, but I would quit.

He has made WS this year, I have not and definitely need the stubs more than he does, and I’m capable of getting 9+ wins if I don’t play br goons. I haven’t played enough this year and packs will never be on my side.

  • Contact swing still OP
  • MlTCHMARNER_PSNM MlTCHMARNER_PSN

Just would like to inform everyone contact swing is still in fact broken…
I Just played a game and my opponent (xbox of course) contact swung every single pitch of the entire game. Before the “you just suck” comments come I was 860 and he was 840 or something.

I was wondering if he’s doing a contact swing to WS challenge or something because he was addicted to it. I’m not even salty about losing I got screwed with squared up line outs, balls dying on the track, bloop hits etc. and saw it coming but every swing this mans pci was bigger than a normal swing and it resulted in contact swing type hits. Eg. Adam Frazier has a small pci on a regular swing but it took up a good portion of the zone in the feedback every time he swung.

Hits were even but Marlins park has no elevation so I guess that’s where I went wrong

GG to that guy and long live contact swingers

I’m not sure if I can post links but what is going on with this game? (https://youtu.be/enfuynvgVKc)

I had another bug in 3rd Affinity showdown where it was 0-0 and i had the allstar team vs aaron bummer on the orioles and it didn't count towards progress because it made 0 sense.
I can upload that video too if anyone wants to see the biggest bug i’ve seen

  • PINPOINT pitching ruined this game
  • MlTCHMARNER_PSNM MlTCHMARNER_PSN

How are people going to complain when you have the exact same chance to dot every pitch as your opponent? Why complain when you can practice using pinpoint and do exactly what everyone else does lol.

It makes no sense how people will complain about good input pitching but also get mad when they use analog and outcomes out of the players control are hung and hit and say it’s the games fault. Pinpoint is the solution. I use pinpoint and am pretty good at it but not every pitch is a dot. Stats still do play into effect but it’s a lot more accurate as it should be.

If someone’s dotting me up I commend them rather than get mad anymore because they’re pitching how they’re supposed to. If you’re gonna get mad at someone for doing it who hits the ball when you do it to them it obviously means you need practice at either pitching or hitting.

HOF I can understand for players who are making the switch from all star to HOF, but on all star there should be 0 excuses because you can center swing and still make contact most of the time and pitch speeds are slow enough for an average human to read and move their pci in the general direction🤣

Before I get called a sweat or something I’m literally just saying SDS isn’t going to give everyone the outcomes they want because people cry about losing and call it BS because players are using something they added to the game to help players.

    90+ Live Series Diamond???

so what’s the point of playing if everyone’s going to have chipper in the first 3 months of having the game

i’m 24-7 and have yet to experience any visual glitches or crashes in game... call me the lucky one?😂

I started playing day 1 and only have problems with the servers in DD but have been able to play every game without a DC unless it was a rq

  • Is this game good? (Post rating also) let’s see if good played say the game is good and bad players say it’s bad

@maskedgrappler said in Is this game good? (Post rating also) let’s see if good played say the game is good and bad players say it’s bad:

What is making me dislike this game is that I cant even make contact most of the time. I have to guess location and swing before the ball leaves the pitcher's hand, which means i cant react to anything else either. I'm striking out 20 times a game, so is my opponent a lot of the time. It's not fun. It's just not fun.

I didnt have this issue in 18 or 19, i didnt even have it in 17 and i was on garbage dsl for that one. My setup is mostly unchanged, in fact last year I was playing on a tv with no game mode, now I've got one with 12ms, so it should be better, it's not. I went back and played 19 a couple weeks ago, same setup and it felt great. Yes there were a lot of line outs, but at least I was making hard contact.

So, whatever it is, pitch speeds, timing window, servers. Whatever the issue is I'm not the only one frustrated and its not because I lose, it's because it's simply not fun in its current state.

It’s not the pitch speeds it’s the 12ms TV that’s unfortunately causing you to struggle. I had the same issue as you with a bad TV with higher than 12ms and couldn’t make it past 600 this year where as I was 600-800 consistently last year. A few weeks ago I bought a 1ms monitor and there is a huge difference in being able to read pitches and square up the ball consistently and I’ve already made it to 755
There are problems with this game obviously but in my opinion it’s more on how the game is supposed to be running (good input on pitches, good okays that should be squared etc)but are frustrating a lot of players
