How do I increase my lead when attempting to steal a base in Franchise simulation Managers mode?

How do I increase my lead when attempting to steal a base in Franchise simulation Managers mode? I'm allowed to call for a steal, but there's no option to increase the base runner's lead off. How am I suppose to steal a base if I can't lead-off? I've noticed that the team I'm playing (CPU) is increasing their lead offs, but I can't. Please help!!

The Double Switch option is in the pitcher bullpen options, right under warm up, toss, put in.
