Animations:
1. Pitching animations tend to be slower than in real life. The animations need a bit more speed. Maybe time for a game speed slider?

Visuals:
1. See more emotions in the game like players reacting to error on field, making a impressive play on field, pitchers not getting the calls they want, batters not getting the calls they want.
2. Teammates in dugout chilling and cheering on their teammates who are at bat or on the field.
3. Show managers mad/yelling about a certain call that the umpire made.

Commentary:
1. Smarter and deeper level of commentary. The commentary is the same in every game. Maybe update the commentary every few weeks. Madden did this.

RTTS:
1. Increasing overall should be faster. And caps should be removed. It's nothing more annoying than trying to increase a skill but it's blocked with a cap. Old school style of upgrading what you want with skill point.
2. Ability to call your agent whenever and not just in between the season or off season. (example: demanding trade immediately, changing to any position, speaking with media). In real life players have full control over their careers .
3. Switching positions to the one you want instead of the suggested one (example: changing from pitcher to outfield, catcher to infield, outfield to pitcher, etc). In rtts we can't change our position, the game chooses the position for us.
4. Interviews with media that influence teammates to play better, encourage more fans to show up, boost team sales, boost team attraction for free agents to sign with team, etc.
5. Make contracts actually mean something (example: buying different style jewelry, upgrading player skills, buying a house, car, personal chef , or trainer.) Like as you get better (more money) in the league you go from apartment to condo to home to mansion. Almost similar to GTA . The more top rank and money you make the better lavish your living situation is.
6. Asking management to target certain players in free agency as well as asking management to keep certain players who you enjoy on the team like in 2K.
7. Apartment, condo, or home in rtts would be cool cause let's be real players aren't in lockerooms 24/7. Also would be cool to see actual rings/trophies/awards our rtts player has earned like in a trophy/display case.
8. After awhile of playing RTTS I found dynamic/boss challenges and player skill increase/player relationship icons intrusive during gameplay. These things should be more subtle, or optioned to be turned off. It makes rtts gameplay seem more arcade while playing on field.
9. Keyword is control. I feel like letting the user have more control over rtts player would make it more fun on field and off field. Checking social media, talking to media like MLB Network, signing sponsorship deals to a brand, upgrading apartment to mansion, using contract money to buy tattoos, clothes, cars, equipment, hire trainer for offseason to boost overall, etc. Maybe some of this over the top but you get my point. 

Accessories:
1. Fix the jordan 1's. The coloring on the top flap of the shoe should match the red color. And can we see shoe laces tied now?
2. New elbow gaurds
3. Baserunning mitts

Here’s my wishlist for ‘21

Yes, this is another cool idea. I hope SDS is reading these suggestions. I think with contracts we should be able to sign sponsorship deals with one brand like Nike, Addias, or Under Amor. Also the bigger the contract the bigger the house you have. With contracts you can also give us more control over team input (signing players, trading or releasing a player, etc) verses a nobody guy in the club just starting out.

General Improvements

• Better graphics. The player models and field look plastic. Feels like I’m still looking at PS3 graphics. Graphics need more life no offense.
• More player personality and emotions. Players interacting with opposing players while on base, players on field throwing up hand signs to indicate how many outs, players reacting to a bad calls, managers mouthing off at umpires, also show different facial expressions depending on the player and situation.
• Adjust offline user pitch speed for individual pitching animations. Often times some of the pitching animations take too long to release the ball. Speeding up pitching animations can help to not drag out a 9 inning game especially for Franchise and Road to the Show. Also feel like the pitching animations are a bit slower than in real life for major league pitchers.
• More sock height options. Players in the major leagues like Tatis with the socks being high only up to the ankles example: Greg Maddux.
• Better replay angles. I think replay angles from the side look better. Especially for batters and pitchers. Too many slowed down replays. Need normal speed replays. Balance it out.

Road to the Show

• Trophy room to show off awards and accomplishments like in a display case. Or in the stats section of your player.
• Salary and overall rating should be more meaningful. More money and high overall can show importance on a team like your role as a player and influence on team. Like maybe the manager respects your input on who should be signed, resigned, traded, etc.
• Talking to agent should be available at all times. In real life these players pay big money to keep a agent. Talk to agent about immediate release, ask for trade immediately.
• Talk to manager as well. On changing your position, your batting lineup #, suggest who to sign, resign, and who to trade for.
• More hairstyles and facial hair. Like bald guys beards should be a smooth gradient fade into the head not a straight cut off beard that is only meant for players with hair
• We need Tattoos please. Use the logo creator and logo vault for tattoos if you worried about copyright issues.
• More jewelry for example: earrings and different style chains like tennis chains and cuban links. Gold color and diamonds. Pendants as well should be added too.
• Better trade system and retirement system. Often times big name players like Trout, Tatis, and Harper to name a few end up on random teams after their contract is over and they end up retiring on that team they don’t have a history with. It doesn’t make sense for big name players who had 6-8+ years of a big contact to be traded or signed to another team after their contract is up.
• Realistic scoring. As a positional player, SDS gives CPU a crazy unrealistic advantage of scoring runs. If you score 2 runs the CPU will score 4 runs in the next inning if not more. If you score 4 runs to tie it late in the game. SDS will let CPU score double digital runs to win the game and this is every game series. You have to literally hit home runs with bases loaded to defeat the CPU.

Road to the Show can get stale after awhile so having more customization for your rtts player and interactions with a agent and manager, talking to media can add to the immersion. Having stuff to do outside of playing on the field matters too instead of us staring at a rtts menu.

Only 13 minutes of Road to the show. Really SDS? That’s all we get no real changes to road to show at all besides a Face Scan and UI change. This is the most disappointing year ever for road to the show. And it shows y’all care nothing about the offline modes. You could’ve just cancelled this stream if it was going to be only 13 minutes. This is why Madden NFL is garbage because of stuff like this. Only caring about their money making dynasty mode machine. Ya’ll need to fix this and put a bit more effort into RTTS this is not acceptable. I figured this year would be disappointing when we realized the live streams were prerecorded. Ya’ll need to go back to the drawing board with RTTS. The same way ya’ll can release an update on launch day ya’ll need to fix some stuff about RTTS it’s pathetic. Sad what this mode has come too AND franchise. All hail to Diamond Dynasty for ruining the offline game modes. Thank you to online gaming in general for ruining video games.

Yes! That part. I love baseball because players have to grind for months so you see details in the player that other sports don’t have. Like hair growing, facial hair growing, hats dirty mid season, gloves grimey and dirty from years of use. I want to see more realism. Like Kershaw for example don’t care about looking good. He uses the same old dirty dirt glove he started his career with. Uses the same dirty hat. I want to see more personality specific for different players.

14. Fix the Nike jordan 1 shoe colorways. In 2K and in Madden the color ways of their Nike Jordan 1’s are accurate.
15. If we can’t buy Nike gear due to legal reasons let us obtain them easier
16. Pinstripes lines missing on certain parts of baseball uniform
17. The scoring/script logic in rtts is flawed. Every time I’m on the mound to pitch or bat the team 100% depends on me to win the game. No run support while pitching. If I don’t get a hit the team usually does nothing to help. This happens way too often.
18. Allow team color belts
19. Adjust the amount of errors cpu makes on user team on rtts
20. Adjust the amount of times cpu fouls off balls. I’m in rtts pitching 1st inning constantly throwing 30-40 pitches meanwhile cpu is at a pitch count of 15 by 2nd inning
21. After Sliding while base running dirt on uniform is visible during at bats but not on the pitcher mound as a 2 way player
22. Figured out the issue with commentary. Especially in road to the show you can be 5-10 years into a rtts player and the commentary is still talking about playoffs and stuff from 2024 or the year before example: between Padres and Dodgers playoff matchup in real life. The commentary doesn’t update each season. Commentary needs to focus on recent playoffs and World Series wins in rtts inside the game. And commentary need to be more detailed talking about our rtts player. Every new season should at least have some stuff noteworthy talking about in the current rtts season.

I'm disappointed that they're still going with this bros and friendship gimmick. Nothing has changed in rtts and in MLB The Show 20 they're forcing those gimmicks on us even more. Out of all the suggestions people gave for RTTS they still go with their gut feeling about the player relationships. It's called Road To The "Show". Make our player feel like a star, not feel like a [censored] buddy to teammates. It's corny. I do appreciate them for trying but when all of us told them this player relationship stuff is not it they still transferred this over in MLB The Show 20. SDS at this point should put player relationships and dynamic challenges in the settings to turn off.

I think this years game has so many bugs and broken animations and visuals compared to previous years. Do they really test the game before release? It doesn’t seem like they do because there’s certain details in the game that are left untouched.

Agreed. The boss challenges and dynamic challenges are intrusive and annoying. I just want to play a full game without those screens popping up. I also don't like the pop up notifications you get while fielding.

The main thing that makes rtts stale after awhile is lack of control. Often times it just feel like we on the field all the time or in the lockeroom/airplane. In real life it isn’t like that. MLB players can call/text their agent with any issues they have at anytime. In MLB players are also business men who sign endorsements/sponsorship deals.. As crazy as this sound I want to have influence as a teammate/role model. I feel like our rtts players have no say so in our career only the manager, organization and team.

I watched baseball games live on TV and watched games at Petco Park and I played a little baseball as a kid. Why is the pitching animations so slow in the game specifically offline game modes? It just seems like they take forever to throw the ball (Example: Kershaw) It could just be me but I think they should speed up the animations a bit faster. Another thing about the pitching is, the pitchers never complete a full throttle pitch with force. The pitchers back doesn’t show any downwards movement if you get what I’m saying.

1- Player Development: I believe the player development really needs to be changed perhaps adopt what madden does with development traits and integrate it with player potential as well. For example have common development, star, and elite. When prospects come up especially if their and A or B potential it’s annoying having a pitcher come up at around 24-25 and they post an ERA in the 5-6 range for the first 5 years of their career, it doesn’t make sense since they are already a highly touted prospect. Every year on July 2nd is the international player pool and I think this would be a cool addition and would make franchise mode a lot more realistic. 3- Draft

Mlb should incorporate downloadable draft classes like 2k and madden to make it more realistic. Perhaps the draft classes could be the top 200 players ranked on pipeline then the rest could be auto generated players that wouldn’t go till the later rounds.

4- Relocation teams

There should be the option of having an alternate Jersey as every team in the mlb today has one except the Yankees.

5- Create a stadium

Many show fans have been waiting for this for years. Please make this happen. Would make team relocation a lot more realistic.

6- BB/9

According to YouTube franchise players that have experimented with it it’s apparent that this attribute is the main factor in pitchers development. I believe this attribute shouldn’t be as important as a pitcher could have 80 H/9, 80 HR/9, and 80 K/9 but if their BB/9 attribute is 40 that pitcher will have a 5-6 maybe even 7 era and I don’t think it’s realistic as playing franchise with a pitcher like Tyler Glasnow I have always seen him with and inflated era when he’s significantly better than that

7- Trades

Allow the option of having a 3 team player trade and allow franchise players to trade cash. Trade AI on the trade finder also needs to be more realistic as there are too many trades that go on throughout the league that would never happen in real life.

8- Prospect overalls

For players especially in the top 10 for mlb farm systems or close to big league players it’s hard when there’s a guy that could be crucial for the franchise but are only a 55 overall and 23 years old as by the time they would come up to the big league they would already be 28 and still only be around a 72 and probably not too much of a help to the big league club. I would just like to see players with higher potentials turning in better results at a younger age rather than starting to have good seasons when their close to their 30s

I agree franchise and rtts need major changes. I feel like they forget about the ones who like these game modes.

First and foremost I appreciate SDS for continuing to make MLB The Show better each year for diamond dynasty. The mode I always play is RTTS but over the past few years I have been disappointed in the way RTTS has been handled. The player relationships and dynamic challenges have been forced features on us that we did not ask for. Now with the launch of MLB The Show '20 we are forced to go another year with these features. Some players may enjoy the player relationships and dynamic challenges, but there's alot of us who rather play without these features. Would it be possible if you could put the player relationships and dynamic challenges in the settings to turn off or on. I play RTTS alot and I can't tell you how many times I was annoyed in '19 because I was hit with a player relationship interaction screen or a dynamic challenge screen while playing a game. It gets tiresome especially when we are playing 162 games. Please don't make us go through this in '20. It's too dreading to deal with. I appreciate the efforts again, but knowing what the player relationships and dynamic challenges did to RTTS game mode was not good. Before these features we could jump into a month worth of games easily. Now we have to be hit with cut scenes after cut scenes. Please upvote so SDS can see this.

Is SDS not upgrading the game to make it better for next gen consoles? 2k is doing it and their game looks great. I would love to see graphic and animation upgrades. Would be a bummer to see a copy and paste version.

1. Show our postseason/playoff stats for our rtts player. 2k does this. It makes playing in the playoffs/world series pointless if you can’t look back on stats.

2. Show batting stats for rtts pitcher like homeruns, rbi, and hits. For some reason SDS only shows pitching stats. Also Breaking records should show which player you surpassed, not just a total number of the most rbi's, homeruns, and basehits. Show every player who has the top 20 records for these categories.

3. Show actual rings/trophies/awards our rtts player has earned like in a display case.

4. Commentary and cut scenes during a game needs to be more involved with our rtts player. Often times the commentators are always talking other players more than our rtts player. For example in real life I remember in the playoffs all the commentators talked about was Juan Soto. I want my player to be the hot topic of each game, sure you can talk about the overall team or other players but make my rtts player more of the main topic. Even if he is slumping I still want you to talk about how bad he has been playing etc. Same thing with records. If he is currently on his way to pass someone in numbers I want to hear that.

5. Allow us to talk to our agent whenever about getting traded, changing positions, batting lineup, pitching rotation, making recommendations for team, etc.

6. The dynamic challenges as well as the simulation screen and relationship interactions should be put in settings to turn off or on because these can get annoying really fast if you're playing a whole season. These features slow down the experience of playing rtts.

7. Removal of locker room sound effect? or put it in settings to turn off or on. Can we finally go back to hearing our music at the same volume as other modes? Rtts is the only mode that has this effect which makes the music lower in volume. I rather hear the music better and louder.

8. There needs to be a tendency frequency system so players like Kershaw and Trout don’t retire so quick. After 4-6 seasons the rtts mode is filled with alot of created players who look just like me. Same thing with trades in rtts. Alot of times all the good players on every team ends up scattered on different teams. Trades needs to be at a minimum and realistic. Can't forget the managers as well. If a manager had a decent/good season they should be coaching the same team for years not end up on a new team every season.

9. Add face scans? which is long overdue. Every popular sports game has it except San Diego Studios. 2k and EA had it years ago. If not, at least use real face presets for each ethnic group cause the created players look nothing like the MLB players ya'll put in the game. Our rtts players look very lifeless and cartoonish. Needs
   detail if that makes sense.

10. The cpu scoring in rtts is very unreal. A lot of the times when you are on a team the cpu seems to have a way to comeback from every game you appear in. The comeback scoring needs to be adjusted. The cpu seems to always come back from a lead 2-3 times in one game. Teams don't do that in MLB baseball every game. Example: the team you play for can make the score 10 (your team) to 5 (the cpu) and the cpu will score 10 more runs making it 10 to 15 late in the game. Please fix this. I'm not saying this doesn't happen but every game this is not supposed to happen. Makes rtts feel like an arcade game.

11. Fix the shifting in rtts and other modes. All we should see is the cpu running with two feet, not a shift closer to the ball. Whenever us the user hits a ball deep or hit a ball anywhere on the field the cpu somehow magically catch it for an out. Realistically the ball should have hit the ground or bounced in their glove. Stop giving the cpu an advantage over the user.

Miscellaneous stuff:

1. Strike zone should be all sharp square light grey, like the actual broadcast games in MLB. Same thing with the ball icon, it should be a circle outline. Gives it more of a real life broadcast feel.

2. Pitching animations are way too slow compared to the actual pitching styles of these players. I feel like they need to be a bit faster. I could be wrong though. Also would be cool to customize pitching.

3. Players in the game should have a option of wearing no undershirt like Bryce Harper in real life.

4. Foul balls should be more catchable in the area of fans. Outfielders or infielders don’t make a effort to catch. And if they do they aren’t running at full speed like you see in a real MLB game. I’m only talking about players who actually have speed to catch foul balls far away from them.

5. More emotions are needed to add life to players. Example: Hat/helmet tipping, breaking bats after a bad at bat, yelling/pumped up after getting on base late in the game because you haven’t batted well, etc.

6. Replays need to be better. Use replays like the ones broadcasted in major league baseball games like the one shown below. Also would be cool to choose the type of replay angles/views we want to see them in.

7. Often times playing rtts there's always equipment like gloves, bats, glasses, elbow guards, shin gaurds, etc going through players. Please fix this. This has been in the game since forever. I'm not sure if this issue is in franchise or other modes.

Why does the bat sounds when hitting the ball sound like a tennis ball being hit? They should’ve left the bat sounds how it was in 22

I feel that way too. SDS needs to bring more immersion into RTTS. SDS thought adding challenges, relationships, and personalities was a good thing but it was the opposite.
