Up until a few years ago I basically only did franchise mode, with my hometown team Brewers. I tried DD in '19 and I got hooked on it. It was great. Idk why but for whatever reason I just can't get into it this year like the past few years. Idk if it's the way they did the programs or what but I just don't have the urge to grind for stuff this year.

The other night I got off work and the wife and kids were gone and I was planning on finally playing into the night, but I played a few games and I was like meh and turned it off. I mean, I literally just spent 75K of my hard earned stubs (especially this year!) on a 50 Pack just for the heck of it and I never spend stubs on packs! In case you were wondering I pulled 0 diamonds and only 2 golds in the whole bundle. Only diamond I got was a Salvy from the extra pack you get with the 50 bundle.

Anyways this is my rant, I'm excited to get my Brewers chise going! Go Crew!

One of the most unreal second halves I've seen. In 2008 the Brewers went all in to try to make the playoffs for the first time since 1982. They traded their top prospect at the time Matt LaPorta and prospect Michael Brantley (who obviously has turned out to have a pretty good career) - but it was oh so worth the few month rental of Sabathia to carry us to our first playoffs since '82.

Dude was a workhorse. Pitched 130 innings (sometimes going back out there on a couple days rest). Went 11-2, and had 128 Ks with a 1.65 ERA (7 complete games, 125 stamina anyone?) - just in the second half. If that doesn't deserve a second half card, idk what does?! As you can tell, I'm obviously a huge Brewers fan but this would be a great, well deserving, card.

I've bought and played every year of The Show that has come out. I used to be basically solely a Franchise player. Would always do two, one with my Brewers and one with a fantasy drafted team and switch between the two when I got a little bored. Started DD last year and am addicted. lol

It's the xp bonus that online doesn't get genius. How stupid are you. No reason to play but the missions are only for extra innings. So for that reason ppl are forced to play it...

everyone should have chipper by now if they play with any regularity and play the game right. I have had him for a month and never flipped or played br. I just played conquest and the events and rs.

But to be honest you probably had some good pack luck. I still don’t have Chipper and I play everything. I have gotten lucky getting Trout, Degrom and Cole in packs but have had no luck beyond those cards. I’ve probably ripped over a thousand packs and have only pulled those three and maybe 4 or 5 other diamonds. My odds are bound to change soon but up to this point I’m not getting close to pack odds on diamonds.

nope ,, i didn't pull anyone over a headliner. I pulled abrams and donaldson and tatis when he was an 88. I just played alot in the beginning.

I mean unless you spent a [censored] load of $$ on the game there is no way you have the LS collection done only pulling those cards...

Well, here's the thing. People who spend $ on the game will continue to spend $ on the game dude. DD isn't a new mode. This happens every year. People get a thrill out of "being the first" to get a card or have to have that 99 overall that is hard to obtain. It's like gambling and almost an addiction for some people. Maybe you personally won't spend money next year but most people that normally do will continue to do so, and the new comers to DD that don't know any better will spend $. SDS will get theirs man, with or without you.

Also,think of it through the other point of view, if there is no good free content Joe Blow may not even buy the game at all the next year because they have no chance against pay to play players. They have to attempt to keep both sides happy dude and from the business side they do a pretty good job of it.

The OP has been nice, polite, and just wants general input from others about the pitchers. I really don't understand people who go out of their way to be toxic.

I'm giving my actual opinion, focus on getting good with pinpoint and he'll have a better feel for the pitchers because the ball goes where you put it and you can actually "pitch" instead of hanging 3 out of 10 with good input. Then when he can use pinpoint he'll learn which pitchers work for him, not trying to be toxic just speaking the truth.

I've used meter pitching since MVP baseball, if you know you know, so about 18 years. I'll never go to anything else unless they ever force some sort of required change. That being said, I'm absolutely deadly with meter and I'll keep using it over pinpoint.

Meh, I've gotten hits off ones I shouldn't have, and gotten hosed on ones where I hit perfect. That's baseball, imo.

I'll take all the XP I can get.
