Has the pci size really been too small? Maybe on legend, but it’s fine on every other difficulty.

I love Finley's swing. Won't have Chipper until Christmas because I can't pull a decent diamond in this game. Even stooped so low as to do the U.S. conquest map yesterday and nothing out of all those packs. Would be nice to get thrown a bone once in 5 years but guess one nice pull is asking too much. Showdowns are harder because they’re on veteran and not all-star.

I’m worried there will be less strikeouts online now, which has been nice this year due to the fact that pci’s are smaller. And making them bigger/increasing the timing window can lead to less strikeouts.

I’m worried increasing the timing window is just going to result in more foul balls, but who knows.

I do know there are times where the swing feedback shown on your screen isn’t accurate; I’ve had “good” timing balls go foul a couple of times today. Maybe increasing the timing window slightly will result in more accurate feedback and more appropriate hit outcomes, but we’ll see. I’ve learned to never be optimistic about a patch, but if it works well, I’ll gladly give SDS praise.

I miss in 17 where you literally could not get walked on rookie/veteran. The cpu pounded the strike zone, as low rated cpu cards should on the easiest difficulties. That would be nice for moments.

Honestly, hall of fame in a friendly plays different in friendliest/custom league than it does RS. It’s easier to hit imo.

And what is the point of this post? Lol. To announce the fact that you won a game on hof?

Since you can now use starters out of the bullpen in custom leagues, can we PLEASE have our relievers in ranked seasons have a full bar of stamina??? It makes no sense as to why they only have at most 80% stamina and go into the yellow after 9 pitches, while in custom league, relievers have a full bar of stamina when they are fully rested.

It doesn’t make sense why they removed this feature. It’s not like people can’t just hop on the game anyway to look up forum peoples records and trash talk that way.

They should just display the rating next to team record at the beginning of the game.

This might be an unpopular opinion on this forum given the amount of showdown complaints on here, but I believe it to be true.

The pitch speeds on veteran are too slow and make it gruesome when adjusting back to online play. Hit outcomes seem so much more random on veteran in showdown than they do on all-star. The biggest complaint I have is that the pci doesn’t move to every spot in the strike zone, limiting the amount of balls you can actually square up, while CPU pitchers paint the black.

Please SDS, give us the option to play showdown on all-star instead of veteran, or at the very least, allow the pci to move just as much as it can on all-star.

I know just imagine how hard it would be on rookie! (I hope you’re not being serious and that was just sarcasm)

I’m dead serious, you can’t even move your pci to certain spots in the strike zone on veteran, yet cpu pitchers will throw perfect dots on the black. Also, pitch speeds are too slow and make it hard adjusting back to online play.

I’m going to guess he’s in Pennant Race at the highest based upon his response.

If directional hitting was advantageous as people make it out to be, I’d definitely use it.

Until then, I’ll continue to use zone and couldn’t care less if my opponent uses directional.
