Anyone read the patch notes for update 3 and their "explanation" regarding the XP cap?
SDS just flipped a bird to all the offline players saying to get more XP you have to complete the multiplayer programs (battle royale and ranked seasons).
CLASSY!

To be honest I am not totally against having an XP cap in general. Without it we could grind and complete the XP reward path in a fraction of its length.
However, I get maybe 45-60 minutes a day to play during the week due to my work schedule. Then I can play 10-12 hours a day on weekend if I wanted to.
So why should we get punished for not being able to GUARANTEE a certain amount of playtime every single day?
Keep the CAP, but extend it to a 7 day stretch so we can ALL benefit.
Thoughts??
Wish i could upload the screenshot....
Just finished a 3 inning Conquest game on rookie. CPU threw 41 pitches. 28 were balls.

Hey SDS maybe after this weeks bs with Ryan Braun you can have a mission next week where Dee Gordon has to hit two home runs s in a game? How does that sound?? Make sure you make ua use his 20 power card too. Oh and facing a lefty is a MUST.
@SuntLacrimae50 said in cpu throws wayyyyy too many balls on rookie:
Something not mentioned as much -- there are almost no center-cut meatballs on Rookie, which is hilarious. On easier difficulty you should get at least a few an inning. Not only does the CPU throw 75-80% balls, the strikes are usually on the outside of the zone.
What he just said!!
Amen, Brother!!

@DominickB3 they addressed it read the patch or update notes they saiid if your hitting the cap you will have the 99s in no time and long before the season is over
I call BS on their claim here. You'd have to hit the cap every single day for almost 67 days just to hit the 1,000,000 mark for ONE of the season one boss cards. Thats almoat ten full weeks of guaranteed every day maxing out the cap.
God forbid you "touch grass" or have a job and cant guarantee that level every day for 10 weeks.
I am just amazed at how greedy SDS has become....
So the bat skins, socks and bat grips that have been free via programs or conquest map rewards EVERY SINGLE YEAR are now only available in the show store for $4.99.
I wonder how much of the proceeds actually go to the JR Foundation. I bet its not much.
Once again... Classy move, SDS!
Anyone else finding this moment impossible to complete?
It's like he doesn't have the power to get it put of the park nor does he have the speed to make it around the bases.
I have hit 4 perfect perfects only to have them caught at the wall for 2 rbi sac flies and I have been thrown out at third or home now 7 times. Everytime the throw actually beats me to third but I run thru the tag only to get nailed easily at the plate.
Wtf?!
What's the deal with almost every single batter coming up to the plate and extending their arm and bat like jim Thome?? Not everybody does that! Just feels weird when Estury Ruiz and his 30 power walks up like a boss expecting to crush baseballs.
Why does it sound like Josh Gibson's bat breaks every time you make contact? Its super distracting.
Agreed. Commentary has gone down the toilet ever since they switched the team a few years back.
@doobiebross66-72 said in Josh Gibson:
@Kaznella part of his storyline talked about how Buck O’Neil said when Gibson hit the ball it sounded uniquely loud due to his power
They incorporated that for Gibson cards
It makes me think I squared up every pitch I swung at
Will take a little getting used to but I don’t mind it
I suppose I could understand that if it were a perfect perfect or at least solid contact. The fact that an infield pop up or roll over sounds exactly the same is just stupid.
You're not alone. The dead ball era of The Show is real. Between that and the CPU inability to throw strikes playing offline play is garbage.
I actually tested this today for the first time. The daily cap is 15,000. I started playing today at 258,583 and just got the cap message. My XP is 273,583.
@Dodgers1876 said in Day 2 of 10k xp cap:
@palmerjones there should be d
ouble xp days. Hopefully they fall on weekends you're able to play
Only if they double the cap during double xp days. Or else you just hit the cap faster then.
Anyone else notice that quite a few of the no doubt animations are inaccurate?
A couple glaring examples are Trout and Harper. Their animations have been the same for years but Trout does the Flick of the Wrist custom animation i think (maybe he just throws the bat down the 3rd base line) and Harper stands there and throws the bat straight up into the air (not sure which animation that is).
There are quite a few other but these are the two biggest names I have noticed.
@Pergo said in SDS has even monetized the JRD rewards...:
Wrong...

I stand corrected. At least on the charity front.
Continued lack of content obtainable through means other than spending money buying packs and stubs still stands.
So Manny tattoos a perfect perfect to dead center in a short porch custom field with max elevation and the ball is caught routinely IN FRONT of the track....
Wait...what?
Even outside of this glaring example I have had a TON of examples of balls hit that should have gone out based on timing and PCI but they all end up routine fly outs even shallow.
I know the cards are low rated and all to start this year for the power creep but darn [sry]! This is nuts!
Did SDS do a sneaky nerf to high altitude custom stadiums to punish stat grinders? Lol
