Absolutely agree, this is the unfortunate situation of programmers that don't know much about baseball and the folks that provide input not checking the little things, more effort put forth to DD instead of single player modes

I literally wat hed my teams entire farm system get traded for a mediocre (at best ) pitcher and utility player that after one season were no longer with the team. Fast forward 4 seasons, this team has no worthwhile prospects coming up and a current roster that is full of players that wouldn't start on 99 percent of teams. It makes no sense. I don't understand the AI logic, and its like whoever programmed this either has no clue what baseball is or literally has a grudge against the Yankees. I sit here and watch the Dodgers load up, the Mets load up, meanwhile Pereza, Cabrera, Dominguez, Volpe, Pierera, Sweeney gave all been traded. Torres, Rizzo, Stanton, Lemahieu traded..... we have had 1 season over .500 and yet to make a playoff push in 4 years since i have been in the majors. The first year, while i am in the minors working up the Yankees lose in WS, yet cant even make the playoffs after i hit the big leagues....lol what is this game mode....? Anyone else having these struggles to get a playoff appearance?

@darkblue1876 i agree with this take, sitting here watching the farm system get traded away for garbage returns, pitching rotation getting murdered, no run support, being stranded on base nearly every time and then watching the bullpen get wrecked is pretty infuriating. Lol its just silly.

@fubar2k7 while yes you can play DD offline, the real rewards are all based on online playing, i grinded every program and collection offline, and now that the game cycle is complete i decided to play RTTS until the next iteration is released. But had i played DD online, I would have completed everything even quicker. My point is that single player modes like RTTS and Franchise lack effort and hinder the gamer experience. It is actually more frustrating than enjoyable playing single player/offline modes.

With the amount of resources dumped into creating this game, why are single player modes constantly neglected? I understand that a big chunk of revenue stems from DD but even that is in a state of decline. Perhaps project managers need to balance customer needs/requirements with the organization's benefits. If you want to grow your revenue especially in a market that takes advantage of hype, why wouldn't you produce a product that meets all the customers needs which will grow your customer base as video game players typically play games based on other user's experiences. The word of mouth within the community is free advertisement, and if you build a product that meets customer needs, they will be more likely to promote your product to their network. RTTS is so poorly designed that it creates a negative gaming experience. Baseball is all about the small details, and typical users are big baseball fans. Watching Aaron Judge or other top power hitters laying down a bunt in RTTS is absurd to say the least. Why are top 10 pitchers getting hammered? Its things like this that are frustrating to watch and see while playing. I think the customers deserve more effort, and better design. There are more topics and parts of the single player modes that can be brought up and i would be happy to contribute them if required.
Trade logic in RTTS
Whoever programmed roster transactions is clueless
