Feature Request: Baseball Savant Stats in Franchise Mode

    Post:
I’d love to see MLB The Show bring Baseball Savant-style stats into Franchise mode. Advanced analytics have completely changed how MLB teams evaluate players, and adding them to Franchise would make the mode feel much more realistic and strategic.

    Stats that could be included:
    • Hitters: Exit velocity, launch angle, barrel %, hard-hit %, expected batting average (xBA), expected slugging (xSLG)
    • Pitchers: Velocity, spin rate, whiff %, pitch type breakdown
    • Defense: Outs Above Average (OAA) and other advanced fielding metrics

    Why this would be awesome:
    • Helps make roster management, trades, and free agency decisions more strategic.
    • Brings a realistic MLB front-office experience to Franchise mode.
    • Adds a layer of depth for analytics-focused players without removing traditional stats for casual players.
    • Makes scouting and player development feel more authentic.

    How it could work:
    • Advanced stats appear on a separate “Analytics” or “Advanced Stats” tab in player cards.
    • Traditional stats (AVG, HR, RBI, ERA) remain for players who prefer classic stats.
    • Stats could be updated from in-game performance each season, rather than relying solely on fixed ratings.

Franchise mode would feel much closer to real MLB decision-making if these stats were available

  • Suggestion: Add Opponent Scouting Reports to Online Play
  • justindiamond002_PSNJ justindiamond002_PSN

I think MLB The Show should add scouting reports for online opponents, so we can see how they usually play—just like teams do in real life.

Examples of what could be shown:
    • How many home runs they hit off fastballs, sliders, etc.
    • Their batting average against different types of pitches.
    • If they strike out a lot or if they draw a lot of walks.
    • Whether they’re aggressive early in the count or patient at the plate.
    • As pitchers, how often they throw certain pitches and in what counts.

    Why this would help:
    • Adds a realistic layer of strategy (baseball is all about adjustments).
    • Lets players prepare a game plan instead of going in blind.
    • Makes Ranked and Events feel more competitive and less random.
    • Feels authentic—just like real MLB scouting reports.

    How it could work:
    • Use stats from their last 20–30 online games (so it’s fair and current).
    • Show it after matchmaking is complete or after the 1st inning.
    • Keep it simple, just highlights—not an overload of numbers.

I think this would make online play way more fun and strategic.
