If you’re one win away from WS then you wait it out. Otherwise you quit & move on...Are you seriously not going to play the show or any other video games all day just so you go from 712 to 730? Nah, Just move on.

Me personally I only get to play a couple games a day & for a video game - RS games take SO LONG to play. If I’m playing a guy that’s just getting all the breaks such as every ball is through the infielders or in a gap & I just can’t buy a out then I’ll just concede & not waste 50 + minutes of my time. That way I can jump back into another game that will hopefully be more fun.

It’s ridiculously laggy just navigating the menus for me right now but the gameplay hasn’t been affected. Anyone else experiencing this?

I totally agree...I actually teared up the moment I saw the X-Wing. I just knew at that moment what would follow & I was SO HAPPY.

Just got Mays...Put in my order on 12/6

COD, DDA, Comeback logic...Whatever you want to call it is real & in all sports games. The companies won’t come out & advertise it but it’s there in the fine print. Business wise it makes total sense. If people lose three in a row & then win 3 in a row they’ll keep playing & spending...The goal is to keep players around .500...If they lose 20 in a row they’ll lose interest & move on to other games.
So if this is true how do explain pitching rebel having a 650-50 record. Or some of the other top guys. Even my record is good at 73-19. Its not on par with the top guys but it’s hardly a .500 record. This just doesn’t make sense if you ask me.
Because you & him are elite players. You are not in danger of going on a losing streak & walking away from the game. The coding is designed to keep the average majority interested which constitutes 80% of the player base. Go take a look at the overall records of players in DD & MUT. 80% of the player base are in the 45-55% win percentage.

Its the same concept as rubber banding in racing games. Its annoying af.
Yeah..But it won’t stop any of us from playing. People like to get worked up about it but nobody will actually stop playing.
I haven't purchased an EA product since. I'm aware I'm in a tiny minority but there are at least a few of us
DDA is the least of your worries with Madden lol. That game is an absolute dumpster fire right now. SO MUCH is broken on that game right now. It’s sad how bad that franchise has gotten.
Someone on here a few weeks ago was trying to claim The Show was worse than Madden.
The Show has it’s issues but it’s nowhere near as bad as Madden is now. I’ve played The Show since 15 & I’ve played Madden since 1995. This was the first year that I actually quit playing Madden - It’s absolutely unplayable.
-
I get one every now and then but not very often...And I’m ok with that. It’s a rare occurrence in real life & should be in the game as well.

Do any of you remember the Madden commercial way back when, that lauded DDA as a new feature? It had a father explaining that he can play against his kid, and the kid could hold their own because the game helped them out. It also penalized the father. This was mid 2000s decade (I think).
It's been around for a long time, and EA has a patent on their DDA version. They can keep claiming it's not in the online game, but most people know the feeling. Just thinking logically, it's obvious it has been implemented in EA online games.
I dont think that is necessarily a bad thing. people didnt make a big deal of it then because online play wasnt that popular, and there was always an option to turn that off. Think it was called "fair play" or maybe even as blatant as "keep game close" on some games. But there is no room for it on H2H online games between people.
I miss the fair play option on football games...You couldn’t go for it on 4th down except the last two minutes of the game, no onside kicks. Forced people to play a normal game lol.

Not asking who you blow the most batters away with...Rather who you find are the best for painting corners. Go!

Even if they dropped a 99 Olerud he would only be used by hardcore Olerud fans. There are just SO MANY incredible options at 1st. I can’t imagine an Olerud card being a viable option this time of year.

I actually think it’s on you to prevent them from quitting. I’ve thrown 3 perfect games this year when the opponent didn’t quit. In each of them I made sure to never lead by more than 2 runs & to not do anything to enrage him such as bunting or replaying homers, ect...So for me this doesn’t count as a perfect game.
Of course it’s his fault!! Everybody knows you shouldn’t get more than a 2 run lead!!! If you “Git Gud” you won’t blow the lead right?? This is the dumbest sh!t I’ve ever heard!!!
People will stick around alot longer if they think they have a chance to win. If it’s the 7th or 8th inning of a perfect game & you put up a 3 run homer, Most people will be out at that point. And as I said in my previous post - If you just care about the win then yeah fire away...But if you really want to pitch a perfect game then keeping it close greatly increases the chances that they won’t quit.
-
I’m not disagreeing with any of you, It’s absolutely ridiculous...But I’m telling you - Someone is much more likely to stick around if they’re only down a run or two & if you’re not agitating them. Yes, It could cost you the game but that’s when you have to determine what’s more important to you - Securing the win or going for the perfect game?

It has to do with the fact it’s a P2P server. Their is nothing they can do to fix it. That’s why it hasn’t been patched when it was first discovered years ago. The same can be said with any sports game that matches up two gamers over the internet utilizing a P2P server.
That’s simply not true. Any other sports game you lock in your team & THEN it searches. Take Madden for example - You set your lineup, playbooks & uniforms and then search. The Show is the only game that has this issue.
Freeze off? What do you dooooo?
