So I understand, he may have tried to trick me, but has anyone had experience with reporting a game and getting a record corrected

That is not true. I could see my opponents. PSN went off-line halfway through the freezer.

I reported this game will this get corrected on my ranked seasons record. I was winning 5 to 0, Rounding third to make it 6.
My opponent quit.
The game froze, And remain frozen for about 15 minutes. I reset my console upon turning console back on I recognized. I was given the loss.

I reported the game, but my record has not changed yet.

The game clearly shows I was winning 5 to 0 In game log is there anything that can be done about this?
