    NL West Showdown Guide
  • jangobobba_PSNJ jangobobba_PSN

A rough guide to who you face/situations for the NL West Showdown...havent seen it posted before, so I figured this may help:

    1st Set
-Pitch 1 scoreless inning with your #1 SP, including 1 K
-Face off against John Gray (RHP) - hit 2 HR in the first 3 innings
-Face off against Jeff Samardzija (RHP) - get 3 H and 2 R, in the 1st inning
-Boss: Kirby Yates, down 2-0, with 12 outs

    2nd Set
-Face off against Chris Paddack (RHP) - get 3 R in the first 3 innings, without allowing 1 R (starting with your #1 SP)
-Face off against Robbie Ray (LHP)- get 3 H, 1 HR, do not strikeout, in the first 3 innings
-Face off against Clayton Kershaw (LHP) - get 3 H, 1 XBH, 2 R, in the first 3 innings
-Boss: Madison Bumgarner, down 3-0 with 10 outs

    3rd Set
-Pitch against the Rockies, 3 K, 0 HR, in 2 innings, starting with your #1 SP
-Play against the Dodgers, start in the top of the 8th up 2-1, get the W without allowing a R (you start the inning with your #5 hitter up)
-Play against NL West All-Stars, get the W - tied in the 8th - start with your #1 hitter at bad against Kenley Jansen (RHP)
    -Boss: Walker Buehler, 20 outs

I am also compiling posts to other Division Guides:

  • I can’t believe how hard showdown is.
  • jangobobba_PSNJ jangobobba_PSN

1st inning is def harder than the divisions - al west wasnt bad at all

  • Affinity Vouchers
  • jangobobba_PSNJ jangobobba_PSN

Current Showdown vouchers are clearly marked as Stage 1 - i'm hoping you can still use past next week to get you to 70, but dont count on them being usable past 70 - similar to the April POTM rewards, it will likely be cap at 70 - best way to prep if you're below 70 on a bunch IMO is to grind Showdown, but not cash in and stockpile vouchers so you can then evaluate which team you want to chase first - do that and maybe a couple of MTOs, but wait to start the playoffs once Stage 2 is released

  • How many stubs are all the NL Diamonds?
  • jangobobba_PSNJ jangobobba_PSN

many - lol - the top 8 live series cards in the game i know are abt 1M

  • Buying players vs packs
  • jangobobba_PSNJ jangobobba_PSN

Players - especially if you're going for Mantle - all of the 85-89 guys are cheap - so unless you're pulling a 50 buncle and pull on of the top players - you're gonna have an overall L- so many free packs in the game

lone exception is headliners pack - but you know you're gambling there

  • Worth Completing for Mantle at this Point?
  • jangobobba_PSNJ jangobobba_PSN

    Yes yes and yes

Dont be deceived by these TA3 ovr - few have over 85 power (comparitively) and too many 1B, mantle is still by far the best card - more like a 99+++
