As a franchise player trying to give other modes a try, I find this mode to be beyond frustrating. CPU plays way better than the stated difficulty. The draft is a joke - you get half a team and a bunch of scrubs to go up against over-powerd CPU teams/players, and to top it off, you are charged an asinine amount of stubs to play it. SMH. Personally, I won't touch this mode again unless there are major changes made to it.

As a newbie to DD, or any mode outside franchise, the biggest issues I have with Showdown are 1) I don't feel it plays to the stated level and 2) the stub cost of playing the mode is excessive, in my opinion, especially having to start over each time.

I'm trying to do an MTO with each team, but it's getting harder to keep going. The mode feels so scripted at times. In addition to the issues with the mode/game, the points rewarded doesn't feel adequate compared to the time invested in grinding through an MTO, especially the playoffs where it's win or get nothing.

Can anyone advise what's going on with not being able to access the techtest forum to leave feedback? Is it for certain users only? Is it not "active" yet? Is it not working correctly?

No, I haven't collected him and I don't have a voucher. I may not be explaining it correctly. Under Programs-->Player Programs-->1st Inning Kerry Wood 85 Diamond? -->All-Star Kerry Wood Stage 1; 42 of 50 earned between Missions and Moments. Scrolling over the program rewards, the last one is All-Star Legend Kerry Wood - Unlock at 50.

I've completed all the stage 1 Moments and have 42 "points". I need 8 more to get to 50 and "unlock" All-Star Kerry Wood. One of the options in Missions is Play vs CPU: defeat the Cubs on All-Star or higher. So, staying in DD, I went to Extended Play-->Play vs CPU -->selected Cubs and All-Star and played the game beating them 1-0. But I didn't get the 8 points, nor does it show a blue bar in the Mission. Still says 0/1.

I didn't know if I did something wrong, or if being in Inning 3 now matters, or if I simply got "glitched" and have to try again.

Yea, the challenge feels scripted, like most of the mode. In addition to the issues mentioned above, a pet peeve of mine is how long the starting pitcher will stay in the game. Once the cpu gets a hit/run, what's the point in leaving the pitcher in? I've had pitchers go 120+ pitches before finally being pulled.
