Directional hitting may be fixed. I just slaughtered someone with the Yankees. Now I know some are gonna say “but its the yankees” so I’m prepared for that.

Directional hitting has literally been trash for quite some time now. I also want to note that I was down 5-1 in the 3rd inning. 95% chance I wasn’t going to win this game especially vs. someone using zone. But I did. I hit 5 homers that game.

I’m a fan of hitting bombs but I can settle with less in a game using directional but for the most part please keep it like this. I just want the ball in play. So many times I’ve had the right swing launch direction matched with pitch location and have gotten good timing and its a swing and miss. So sad. The game shouldn’t be this hard for directional players on HOF.

The game should be fair for everyone. Its not buffing when you can’t put a ball in play using Timing. The only obvious difference there should be between zone and timing is the amount of homeruns and xbh. Right now the difference are those two things plus swing and misses with good timing, weak fly balls on pitches down the middle with GOOD timing, strike out amounts, and foul balls.

What won’t change between both interfaces are the pitches a user can and cannot hit. For ex: i cant hit a circle change using zone if my life depended on it. But i can using timing. On zone I struggling getting to high inside fastballs but timing I can. What im saying is timing hitting isn’t going to make players these elite stars that can never lose. In fact I can argue that zone is doing that instead.

It does that to me too, this game is outrageous. You consistently get late or early timing on pitches you know for a fact you timed up perfectly then when you finally get good timing its a pop up or ground ball out.

They need to fix this ASAP. Not everyone is able to use zone. They nerfed timing hitting so much that you cant even put the ball in play. They assume everyone will be too good because its “so easy”. Which is false because some can argue that zone is too easy because a perfect perfect on a pitch a foot above the zone can be launched out the park

They don’t care about Online Rated bro lol they don’t even let us pick our teams jerseys let alone care about cheaters. If it ain’t DD they don’t care.

It’s truly sad tbh. They only care about DD which is CORNY AF, who wants to just sit around and have a homerun derby for 9 innings. Zero skill needed. If they have selected difficulty modes it would be fun.

Funny because you didn’t see my gamertag on the board? Its a different one than what I have here. But if not…i speak only facts lol. Idk if you tried but on HOF or Legend its literally impossible to put a dotted pitch in play which defeats the purpose of even allowing these interfaces to be used at these levels. I get it, everyone is gonna say just use zone but there’s a way to make it fair for everyone.

I get what you’re saying but as someone who used to use Guess Pitch all the time I found out I’m way better without it.

You can still “guess” pitches and spammers make it super easy you just have to have a little memory or hit R2 to see their previous pitches each new AB.

If they bring back GP though; they need to make the negative on guessing wrong more obvious. You can’t guess low and outside (slider) and then still be able to turn on a fastball high and inside.

I only want GP back because of the reward you get from guessing correctly. The only pitches you’ll get a hit with while using Timing on HOF or Legend are pitches down the middle which is insane because why even allow us to use it. I’ve gotten good timing on pitches all over the zone and middle pitches are the only thing I’ll hit.

First and foremost I wanna say your welcome because this is a VERY SIMPLE solution to make this game more enjoyable by all users.

All you have to do is allow Guess Pitch for players who use Timing or Directional. I don’t wanna sound egotistical but I’m ranked like 70th online so I feel like I have a right to complain. I also never played on a difficulty less than HOF or Legend. I can admit I’ve struggled a lot but my online record may say otherwise to an average player. I personally don’t like using zone at all for two reasons. 1) you will run into players who will literally hit everything. 2) Stats seem not to even matter with zone hitting.

Yes there are those perfect perfects that get caught at 3rd or those hard hits that get caught right on the warning track but lets face it, usually on HOF or Legend players know how to dot pitches so Timing or directional won’t work. I missed guessing pitches on spammers and getting rewarded. Bringing this setting back would give players like me a more enjoyable/causal YET competitive experience.

If you made it this far in my rant thank you. But let’s be REAL. How much more fun would diamond dynasty be if you didn’t have to hit 100 home runs. How much more fun would online rated be if you could hit homeruns on the interface option you find best to use. Bringing back guess pitch solves this. I rest my case.

Pitches are going wild even when i have good or perfect timing. Please fix!

This game is disgusting in regards to directional hitting and/or timing. I’m in practice as we speak just having a pitcher throw high inside corner fast balls and still “can’t” time it correctly. I’m using Ohtani and still can’t put a ball in play. That’s disgusting. There are still players that do not like using Zone hitting and obviously this game does no honor that.
