I have no clue what they did but last night PS5 and PS4 all is well, but not Xbox X. Today I logged into Xbox X and it allowed me to use the link code from Xbox X on the THESHOW.COME website, accepted my code AND linked. All progress carried over.
So as of now, everything is working on my PS4, PS5, and Xbox X. HAPPY HUMP DAY!
ok, logged onto Xbox X first, still no data and carry over, it still shows "link" in my profile. I didn't touch it. Shut off Xbox X and went to PS5, loaded PS5 version of '21 and it asked me to select my ball player, the one I created 4/16/2021 or the default, I selected my guy. Then it loaded and all my data, items and DD are in-tack.
I hope it works someday with my progress carrying over to my Xbox X but at this point I'm just happy all my stuff is back on my PS5, the wild thing is I have been playing on my PS4 and it includes that progress as well, all my stubs, daily missions, etc are all back on my PS5.

I'm going to try and make up for lost days, hope to see ya'll on the virtual diamond, as for this thread, I'm going to bow out. it's been a heck of a ride but this is more stress than one needs, video games are supposed to be the relaxing part of my day.

After my last temper tantrum when nobody would answer me, I deleted the game from my PS5. Once I saw they addressed the issue and made an update early this morning, I reinstalled the game. After it's completely installed, you're prompted with the difficulty levels, etc. You're also given a screen that says the server data is different from your local file data. I selected server data and everything showed up again.
Of course, this was after I saw that logging in to the show website with my PSN info now showed all my stubs and stuff (before it was wiped away). So, now everything is there for my PSN account, The Show account and nothing on XBOX. I'm assuming if I link the XBOX account it'll bring everything in there, but I'm in no rush to do that.

Thank you for the update sir, just got my kids home from school and dinner, I'm nervous/excited to fire up my PS5. I just want it all back on my PS5, I could care less about it showing up on my Xbox X, I paid for the game on PS5, I want it to work there.

yes i did, should I download them both at the same time?
I have both downloaded, I just had to make sure and select the PS4 version of the game from the dashboard.

Downloading and using the PS4 version worked for me without any additional config. Just had to choose the local copy when prompted about save conflict (in-game)
On PS5? Could you explain step by step what you did?
I'm not sure what the OP did but what I did on my PS5 is hit start on the game from the PS5 dashboard (NOT PLAY) but the start button, then select the "version" it should show PS4 and PS5 MLB21. When I select PS4 version all my DD and pre-order items are there and I can play just fine. If I select the PS5 version of the game all of my data/collection etc is gone. When I go on my Xbox I don't have an option for the Xbox versions, I'm on Xbox X and it only shows MLB 21. So I can't play it on my Xbox and have it go towards my progress.

Did you download the PS4 version on the PS5? I think I had to go the PSN store and download the PS4 version.
The covers look different if I'm not mistaken
here's my ?, I have NO clue how PS4 doesn't see PS5 each other, why is my original PS5 data showing perfectly on my PS4 version of the game?
Next ?, if I say F IT and start over on my PS5, will that conflict with my PS4 data? I mean yes I have a good chunk of stubs around 40K and a decent amount of cards in my collection and some pre-order cards, but IF I start over what's going to happen? I just lose my stuff and start from scratch?
I hear everyone upset about content and all, to be honest I JUST WANT TO PLAY, I don't however want to start playing and have it lose my data a second time.

Also since it's new, the PS5 controller is slightly different than the PS4, I'm used to the feel of the PS4 controller.

In theory it's supposed to but there is an issue linking your accounts. I have MLB the Show, $80 version, it was working just fine on PS5 on release, then I linked my Xbox X account when it came out the following Monday. Since then PS5 and Xbox X are giving errors trying to access DD and account info.
I am able to play the PS4 version on both my PS4 and PS5 and they correct DD information and data works between the 2, so I would say YES this is how it's supposed to work, some people have been having issues, it seems like it's when you throw Xbox into the mix.

To be honest though, the only differences I see between my PS4 Pro and PS5 are the PS5 has the create a stadium feature (which I haven't messed with yet) and the PS5 loads the game faster. Otherwise the graphics look almost identical, PS5 maybe has a hair more lighting and detail, but you'd have to stare at the screen for hours to spot any difference.
If it helps I'm playing on a 4k HDR tv, with the better HDMI cables. I don't see a difference graphics wise between PS4 Pro and PS5.
Still no luck, tried linking PS5 account, gives me "unable to link account, platforms exclusive" error
